When has the ladder ever been "fair"? Hell to this day the person listed at #1 on any of the ladders isnt the person that hit that level first but a random person that is tied for the same amount of exp.

@GGG - do chars get transferred to standard at the end of the 1 month?

Special note to hardcore players: if your character dies in a softcore league, you are free to delete that character. The "risk" doesn't have to be imposed on you by GGG; you're autonomous human beings, as far as I know, and have the capacity to set the parameters of the way you play the game.

If what you're objecting to is the differences in economy across softcore vs. hardcore leagues... play self-found or suck it up for a month until the next 4 month league starts. And stop pretending that it's the "risk" and the "danger" of hardcore that you want, when all you really want is the resource scarcity. That's a fine thing to want, but be honest about it.

Edit: Users are free to say what they like or don't like about the league if they wish; but saying one group of players is better or worse than others is not okay.

I completely agree that this has taken a wrong turn - it is not nice to see such alienation between the 2 communities, but you must have known that this would happen when you have such an incarnated and passionate hardcore community - who are without a shed of doubt, extremely disappointed in this decision.
