I totally understand that. Having two versions would be great! It's just that GGG never made two seperate events and that the majority of events have been HC anyways, so that's why I was saying that it's fair to have a SC event for once. It's only the second SC event anyways, right?

The Ambush/Invasion two-week event was actually really annoying for me as an Ambush player because even with it being a mix of both leagues, I couldn't get my character transfered back to Ambush. I even asked GGG about that and their answer was "no" of course.

I agree GGG should probably make a hardcore version, and that wouldn't be too hard. It's the incessant sense of entitlement and poor attitude of this selected sub-group of the HC community that I have huge problems with

Poor attitude? Sure there is some rude posts but that applies to both "sides". This is not a political issue so it's silly for people to take sides so passionately. People just want to enjoy the game and GGG can very easily make everyone happy.

Short racing during normal league time don't apply. This is a special case where no other league is occurring. Many people including me simply don't play when no league is occurring and in this specific case a softcore only league is the equivalent of no league to some HC players.

People are complaining so GGG knows they're upset with this. I'm quite hopeful that GGG will listen to this feedback and simply include a separate league.

As a hardcore player, seeing a softcore only league is very disheartening. As a hardcore player in a hardcore league, even if I am a standard player I can always just kill off my hardcore chars at the end of the league once they've rolled over to hardcore, and voilla they'll be in standard.


Having a standard only league does not allow the same kind of freedom, there's very little point for people that were looking forward to getting some more gear in the permanent leagues (much like we did from the charity race) to playing a race that they can't bring the gear over to there main league.


The charity race, despite being HC only, brought an influx of items to both HC and SC when the race ended. Players that played standard just killed off there characters and brought items over, I watched this happen in my guilds stash.



This i why having a hardcore only league, albiet I'll accept it not fair to the people that want to play the league specifically in a softcore context, but us hardcore players get nothing but the joy of playing the league.

Given the setup of these leagues moving to there parent it seems silly that one group of players is given access to something that another isnt. Thats why I assumed races were HC, so that all players could get involved.

Well, I hope theres both a hardcore and softcore league, or that this 1month just is a void league, thatd work to. Then I'd just be bummed it wasnt HC. If it's not getting voided though this is unfair to HC players in a way the charity race was not unfair to SC players

Can you please at least explain GGG's decision? I keep hearing repeated that standard and hardcore appeal to different players, often by you guys at GGG, which is totally true, but in that regard it also makes no sense that you would give a large portion of your player base, to whom that motivation to survive fuels their enjoyment of the game, nothing to do during the break.

It sounds exciting on paper sure, but without that motivation myself and many others will either tire of it quickly or won't be motivated to participate to begin with - I know I gave the 2 Week Domination race a good shot, but I got bored after a few days - I don't see this ending much differently.

Another month without a league for hardcore players is a long time, especially for those who had become too bored and/or frustrated with Invasion and haven't been playing for the last month or so anyway.

That now is all gone or on hold. I think there should be more events for SC players, I have no problem peacefully co-existing, but pitching us into a binary battle doesn't make any sense.
