Oh yeah, that's right, the lightning projectiles don't proc it. >< Forgot about that, and yes I did catch the damage and chain increases. Couple that with Mjolner's already inherent +1 Chain and Arc just got a bit better for sure...dang. That said, the thing with LS is actually making me want to try out a new build to try and bring back the old 'Rift-A-Din' style build from D2 that used the Rift Runeword and shot Frozen Orbs all over the place. I'd have to use Ball Lightning for that and do some conversion stuffs, but I think I could get it to work and with BL getting a damage boost, that's a good thing.
**EDIT** Now that I am thinking about it, with LS being changed to a green gem, you could theoretically run the Life Gain on Hit gem in that red socket. That means you wouldn't need LGoH on your jewels or even take the LGoH nodes on the tree...potentially. Can confirm: this build got a significant buff in 2.1
If following my build: * Passive tree is the same as before (I didn't even need a passive reset) * Drop Herald of Thunder and one Enlighten gem, replace with Blasphemy+Warlord's Mark * Replace Life Leech with either Iron Will or Lightning Penetration (Iron Will if you want freedom to swap in Life Leech, Lightning Pen if you want the most damage) End result looks something like this:

Going to drop into my old build and see what it was like for the LL variant and mess around with it. Doubt much has changed, but we'll see.
**EDIT** Ok, something important that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes and was obviously a last minute thing, or something that wasn't said for whatever reason. For those of you theorycrafting with the Blasphemy gem, do note that it is 35% MANA RESERVATION and NOT 25%! This is a big deal so make sure you take that into account if you want to go dual-cursing or even single cursing and are really minding your reservation totals. The repentance unique gloves no longer have an attack/cast speed penalty. Instead, it has a small penalty of reduced spell damage (which is compensated by the item giving you Iron Will). I will try to get a pair and test it out for myself.

Wow, nice gloves. I am going to have to try those out, and the ES on them isn't terrible either.

I think that the Repentance gloves are going to be BiS for this build. Go buy a pair! They don't really have any significant downside other than the lack of resists and mediocre ES, and the damage buff is well worth it.
After running a good number of hard 76-78 maps, I sadly believe Life Leech is still mandatory to be socketed in Mjolner even with Blasphemy+Warlord's Mark. The reduction to curse effectiveness on map bosses is severe and makes it so that dangerous bosses can kill you. OK, I think I have settled in with a final 2.1 gem/gear setup. Note that there are NO meaningful changes to the passive tree from 2.0 to 2.1. If you need additional +Strength or +Mana Reservation nodes due to gear/gem changes, get them, but the tree is basically the same.
Gear/Gem setup & changes for 2.1 (new items in teal, removed items in orange) ____________________________________________________________________________________ Swapped out one rare jewel for Conqueror's Efficiency which allows me to run 6 auras + 1 herald + 1 Blasphemed curse. This also meant the loss of Vaal Discipline since I ran out of gem slots even with the use of an unset ring. My aura setup is as follows:
Note that this exact aura setup requires every aura reservation node on the tree, conqueror's efficiency, a level 3 enlighten, AND a level 4 enlighten. Drop empower if you don't have those things. I am sticking with Life Leech in my Mjolner. The damage from Lightning Penetration is really impressive but it's too risky against bosses. I am also sticking with my 2.0 play style of Leap Slam/Fortify + Molten Strike... I think it's the safest and fastest way to play this build in T10+ maps. I have replaced my gloves with Repentance and will most likely stick with the change. These gloves appear to be BiS (Best in Slot) for the build by a decent margin.

You are all very cool described later stages of the game, but what to do low and when to 60lvl is no Romira, not mjolnir, no voll's. What weapons used temporarily instead, and how triggers PC without Romira?
