[2.0] THOR'S RAINBOWNUKE: DO ALL MAPS, UBER ATZIRI, AND EXPLOSIONS!

Barring any unannounced nerfs or any problematic passive tree changes, it looks like survivability will be about the same and damage is going to get buffed...

Yeah, saw the thing concerning Arc and what not, so that will be a buff to us for sure. Going to have to look over my builds and see what's up now that the new Skill Tree is up for offline viewing. Will give it a much better look tomorrow.
So far there doesnt look like there is any change to the core rainbow nuke passive tree, save for that change in pain attunement location (which has no impact on this build). Im quite positive this patch will buff the damage of the build with no major hit to suitability. (for now at least). Also, the scion spell damage starting node took a slight nerf, whilst the witch Blast Radius notable just got a significant buff (20% increased area damage up from 12%).

Indeed. Going to have to see what kind of changes I might need to make on both my builds for the up and coming Blasphemy support gem. Kingsguard life build will likely get one curse and dropping a herald if I have one running, and my LL ES build will likely have two.
As always I'll look to this thread for what to do when the patch comes out. Love u guys.

I expect very minimal change. Passive tree will be essentially the same barring any last second/surprise changes. Gem setup will be either the same or modified slightly to include blasphemy/warlord's mark. Gear setup unlikely to change.

2.1.0 patch notes:
"
Lightning Strike has been substantially reworked. It is now a Dexterity Gem that starts at player level 12. It shoots five projectiles at level 1, increasing as it levels. Its damage has been increased. It went from dealing 70% of base damage to 75% of base damage.

Some builds will need 2 sets of gloves/helm now to switch between lightning strike and molten strike (except if there's a lucky white socket). Those that use the skill in body armour may not be happy.
There will definitely be a little shakeup for those using LS, but do remember that you likely will not need LMP/GMP for the skill, which is what you'd use a green socket for. In essence, you switch out LMP/GMP for LS and now you have a red socket to use for what you would want, possibly Fortify, or something else that tickles your fancy. Still, might need a little color changing if you're gonna want something else.

Yeah, the change to LS isn't as drastic as you might think - you'd just swap it in for GMP; with Arc chaining additional times and the buff to 5 projectiles instead of 3, I don't think this would be a significant issue. I don't think Fortify would be a good support for it, though, as it does not proc from the lightning projectiles and if you're in melee range you're going to be using Molten Strike anyways.

Also, anyone else catch that 20% damage buff and +2 chain to Arc? Crazy. This build should be overall a bit stronger in 2.1

I'm looking forward to see how the modified Repentance Unique Gloves turn out.
