[2.0] THOR'S RAINBOWNUKE: DO ALL MAPS, UBER ATZIRI, AND EXPLOSIONS!

I calculated for the Immortal Call, that a lvl16 IC with 4 endurance charges is going to grant just over 3 seconds of physical immunity. Question is; is it worth losing a passive point and getting the endurance charge from merc bandits? If you've a 4th power charge from the tree, is it highly probable that almost every time you proc IC from CWDT, it would lead for a 3 second IC?

Also a lvl16 IC needs a lvl14 (1980 damage taken) CWDT, so I'm not sure if it's just more effective to go for a lvl19-20 CWDT and higher lvl IC as well for an even longer IC and less gimmicks on whether IC procs with 4 charges or not.

Well here's another update to my build. This variation is a non vaal pact version inspired by Tanakeah's concept, that does not utilize the Vitality Aura for skill sustain. Here's a quick look at the build:

My Gear:

Spoiler

My Passive Tree: (one point was used getting the merciless Alira Bandit reward)

The Jewels I use: Clear Mind, Energy From Within and 3 rare Crimson Jewels

The Auras I run: PoL, PoF, PoI, Haste, Wrath, Discipline, HoT and HoI/AA

My Stats:

ES: 8691
HP: 60 (1988 Unreserved)
Attacks Per Second: 5.43
Life Regen per second: 43
Fire Resist: 83% (Effectively 86.4% with Fortify or 88.2% with Fortify and Arctic Armour)
Cold Resist: 83% (Effectively 86.4% with Fortify)
Lightning Resist: 84% (Effectively 87.2% with Fortify)
Chaos Resist: -30% (Effectively -4% with Fortify)
Physical Damage Reduction: 6% estimated (Effectively 24.8% with Fortify or 34.6% with Fortify and Arctic Armour)

This time, I optimized my reservation and life regen, so that I am still able to constantly attack with my LS/MS setup without running out of HP. The main draw of this build variation is its immunity to physical reflect, through the Physical to Lightning gem, and the flexibility of HoI and Arctic Armour. Basically, if I need more damage for clear speed, I use HoI for bonus damage. If I need to be able to tank more, such as in boss fights, I just use Arctic Armour. Not only does a level 21 Arctic Armour give me 13% physical and fire damage reduction, but it also chills my attacks briefly, hence reducing the opportunities for enemies to land successive hits on me. I run a fire golem, as it gives me a nice damage bonus whilst also serving as an aggro stick for enemy attacks.

Can you run half regen maps with this? I found that running with vaal pact I'd open up some more map mods to get more pack size in my maps.

I'll just add my gear and passives as well, I'm not sitting on much currency so my rares aren't exactly mirrorstuff.

Running with 7.5k ES
Unfortunately, less regen or no regen maps are the bane of this variation. 60% less regen is easy to do if you run vitality, thus there is no real issue here. However, this variation of the build cannot efficiently handle no regen maps, which is where the vaal pact variation truly shines. If I want to run vaal pact without making any significant gear or passive changes, I will have to swap my fortify for LGoH. So its up to you at the end of the day.

Personally, I would be picking up that additional endurance charge so that I can ensure myself to get 3 seconds immortal calls.

Did you think of running with Fragile Bloom with your build, or is the increased damage taken too risky? It could save you some points in your version

I tried it and I hated it. That 10% increased damage taken from all sources is a downside that far outweighs the 2% life regen. Sure fortify may mitigate that downside completely, but your overall defense will still be weaker. In POE's current state, where mobs hit harder, the reduced tankiness is simply not worth it.

Alright thanks for the info, was actually going to try that but not going to waste time now :)

Grabbing that 1.8% regen and dropping Vitality is how I've been running for a few days and it works great. I have 101 life left after reservation but I am able to run 9 auras (the usual ones plus HoI AND AA. I am able to sustain my attacks just fine.

Thanks for the Physical to Lightning idea, I hadn't really given that any consideration. Thanks, isol1d.

EDIT: I just recolored my Shav's RRRGGB after 7x100 chrome tries with Vorici. I put in P2L and Fortify and my LS cost went from 20-24. I was concerned at first but I'm still able to sustain indefinitely on 101 life running 9 auras. I have the 1.8% regen passive and also 5.1 life per second on my boots (by chance).

Just got myself one of these beauties, it's lovely not having to switch the gems around anymore.

o.O

You chrome that yourself or buy it? Vorici calc says expected cost of ~200 ex worth of chroms to get that...

Bought it off of the only guy I ever saw with a 6off shavs, paid with my 5off 6l shavs + a 5linked shavs. Got really lucky with that deal imo, worth way more than those two shavs :D
