[2.0] THOR'S RAINBOWNUKE: DO ALL MAPS, UBER ATZIRI, AND EXPLOSIONS!

That boss is probably one where a regen version of this build is going to fare a lot better - because you have to keep so much distance between yourself and him to not get VRoA / 2 or 3-shot, it means you can't do enough damage to keep your ES up. It's a really annoying fight. And I'm out of those maps to keep trying to figure out a winning strategy for now :(

Anyways, off to attempt to redeem myself:

O.O That map................May Chris Wilson's Beard Shine upon you
Bah... died twice full clearing that map because I was an idiot. Two times I accidentally ran into a room too quickly and drew too many enemies when I didn't have flask charges... if I had been a bit more careful, that map would surprisingly have been doable deathless. I specced into the flask nodes, wore a Saffels, and carried two topaz flasks with me.

The thing that made it nasty was the cold damage. I should have carried two Sapphire flasks too and I would have been OK - both deaths occurred when I was chilled and I forgot how nasty chilled + temp chains is.

So I'm thinking Lightning Strike may be out as my primary attack... it just doesn't do enough single target DPS and it's been giving me some problems in 8 mod 79+ maps vs difficult rares. Leap Slam --> Molten Strike feels a lot better. Going to have to experiment some more to see if that's actually better or not in the long run since molten strike does have a delay before hitting which can open you up to 1-shots in some scenarios (Devourers anyone?).

One thing is for certain: in 2.0, you just flat out cannot facetank some of the things you could pre-2.0. The enemy damage buffs GGG has put in place are just too much. Mobility and careful, slow play seems to be the only way to survive in very difficult high level maps. My clear times are definitely WAY down from 1.3. I don't think 5-7 minute full clears of the most difficult maps are going to be possible anymore for this build and probably not for any build.

That said, it feels like this build is still going to be capable of clearing nearly all content in the game. I do not think it will be able to do -max + ele reflect without extreme risk of dying, and it may be that there are a couple bosses that are not doable (only one so far I've found is Village Ruin, though) but everything else should be fine. I've been running some nasty 8-mod 79-81 maps without too much difficulty.

Yeah, seems that it's all part of GGG wanting to slow people down and make them take longer on maps. Going to see if I can run a few older 75-78 maps from what I have stored up and see if I can't get some of the newer maps to drop and test those out.

If I had a 5L, I'd personally probably just leave out empower from my aura setup (wouldn't need a level 4 enlighten in that case, either - level 3 would work, or might even be able to just not use one):

We're still bouncing ideas all around so nothing has been settled upon, which is why right now 'the best way' hasn't been found yet. :p If you're only using a 5L, then go with:

Molten Strike > Multistrike > Faster Attacks > GMP > Fortify

Honestly, you can get by with that and the 6th link is gravy for whatever you want.
