Shockingly strong flamethrower build (Incinerate + Three Dragons)

Do you think this build would work with Tabula Rasa? I love my Tab so much especially because it was my first major purchase when I started playing (1 ex).

The feels
I feel like the corruption would be helpful with this build.

please post a video showing how often a monster shatters due to the 5% freeze node near shadow start, i think this would show people if its worth it

also anyone using flammability, elemental weakness is far superior especially if you have added lightning damage/cold damage linked to incinerate as it reduces their resistances to all your damage not just the fire ;)

The only thing i have trouble with atm is hard hitting bosses and corrupting blood if not noticed quikcly but otherwise solid build

gear - updated

found the amulet and rings in stash also the 5 link chest seemed good for this build thats why i threw it together, best dps ive had on any build before

still trying to find a 4% corrupted lazhwar and get a 6 link arm/es chest with life

I have made a video showing the 5% freeze node in effect.
Personally, I do not think this is worth the 2 skill points. But here you can at least see the potential of shattering mobs with the added lightning on incinerate.
Also your lightning spells will freeze more (lightning warp, tempest shield)

And yes, you are 100% correct that Q ele weakness is certainly better than flammability!

Corrupting blood is a bitch. You stack to 20 in about 1 second, so you really have to be quick on the fingers to press that anti-bleed flask.
You can also try a stone of lazhwar with 1% fire damage leeched as life, which might be cheaper.

I personally feel that 6L isnt that good. The mana cost of incinerate is absurdly high. You could maybe get some cool links in, but then you still require the Reduced Mana gem also, to be able to support the mana cost.

I really prefer a chest with stats (max life+res+ ar/ev+ES) or taking the Cloak of Defiance

is steady hands worth taking on the tree?

I died in a jungle valley map in the boss room, got overwhelmed by the flicker spiders, only really because i was getting stunned and didnt have frostwall on codt yet, do you think it would have helped?

I personally don't feel like I need it. But its just 1 skill point, so you can try it out for sure

After giving it some thought, I knew how to solve the mana issue with a Tabula Rasa! The Iron Will skill gem doesn't have a mana multiplier and I used a slightly different tree with a Scion start, so the tree gives +240 strength. Also, with my tree I hit max block with Tempest Shield and max spell block regardless of the roll on Rathpith.

I didn't take Static Blows because I don't actually have a Three Dragons yet. Gonna wait for the unique drop change before buying it.

seems quite solid, mainly survivability-wise. I can't tell how much this solves mana issues (I dont have mana-issues on 5L incinerate, but havent tried on 6L , have 330 mana/second) as you skip quite a few high mana regen% nodes. But it's certainly an interesting twist to my build

Actually, one of my constraints for gearing was to get 80% mana regen from rings so everything should turn out ok.

You can grab Iron Grip passive and unspec Unwavering Stance(for the suggestion I'm about to make.)

Since you can't stack Iron Grip passive with the Iron Grip support gem, I would suggest filling your 6th socket with Blind gem. It has no mana multiplier and it will instantly proc when you cast incinerate. 75% evade > cannot be stunned in my opinion.

iron grip will do nothing, its only for attacks not spells

he is talking about iron will, which adds strength bonus to spell damage

I just realised

this build with cloak of defiance + bereks grip (5% of damage leeched as mana to shocked targets) could be insanely strong and also possibly let you use gmp for better shotgunning

this with a life leech gem in your incinerate basically means you leech a crazy amount of life and mana for great survivability

what do you think iznobest?

When i first theorized about this build, berek's grip was one of the first items on my mind. However, I finally chose against it due to the many useless stats on it:
5% of Damage against Frozen enemies Leeched as Life
(10 to 15)% increased Cold Damage
Adds (1–1 to 1–50) Lightning Damage

The only useful stats are the mana leech and the 30-40 max life (which is not very much). So i considered taking a ring with 70 max life, 30 dex (which equals 1 passive skill point) and 60-70% mana regen would be better than a Berek's.

However feel free to try it out ;) I would be curious to see how it works out
