[2.2] Arly's Lightning Arrow - Elemental Pathfinder
" You itemized very well. Good job. You'll see huge gains as you continue to level both your character and your gems. When you're feeling gutsy, regal those blue jewels and pray for life. IGN: Arlianth

Just wanted to post a quick update. The build is working out so good, I just destroy the maps and its the best build I've played so far. I am sitting at 11K LA gmp and 15.6K blast rain dps (with aura and golem) with 5L, without any frenzy, power charge and blood rage. The bosses melt with blast rain.
Just completed my two atziri runs (got the atziri achievement). Vaal and trio are very easy with this build, need to take care with atziri, just dodge everything she throws and you should be good. Currently at lvl 89, below is my tree and gear. Skill tree ========== Gear ====

" Glad you're enjoying the build! " I would recommend getting a helm with 46 int and similar stats so you can remove the 2 affixes on your rings. You can make up the lost resist on amulet or jewels. Your amulet could be upgraded greatly. 29% chaos damage only affects the chaos portion of your build and not your cold damage which is crucial for shattering and generating power charges. Try to get flat elemental(ideally cold and light) or WED in addition to crit chance or crit multi. Like would be ideal but costly. Also keep in mind that pierce chance is very bad for this build because piercing arrows can not chain. Pick up an atziri's promise with 15% ele rolls as well as this will be a ridiculous damage boost for your voltaxic. ================================================================================================= Update level 92: Upgraded from tabula rasa and got a new helm. Using tfist but no quills. DPS with golem and aura: LA: 19713 , -- blast rain: 24,208 DPS with golem and aura, BR, 7 frenzy, 3 power charges: LA 38,955 -- blast rain: 44,399 DPS with DPS with golem and aura, BR, 7 frenzy, 3 power charges, atziris promise, vaal haste: LA: 52,000, blast rain: 58,000 evasion 8200 life 4273 CC 51.48% CD 581% (LA)

Hey,
Thanks for the guide great, using it on my 2nd character (ever) on talisman and loving it. Just a query, do you think you might add a leveling guide for when/where to allocate points in the tree as you level? Thanks again Neph. Last edited by Pwd#4794 on Jan 6, 2016, 12:48:18 PM

First of all, thank you for making this build, I have really missed playing with voltaxic!
Im lvl 87 in talisman with the following gear:

With these juwels:

First I need a new chest, what do you think about a lightning coil? Or should I go for a better evasion chest and use any of these two:
Spoiler
Or just buy a cheap 5l evasion chest and spend my currency on better quivers/rings/amu/belt? I feel there are so many ways to go, so a bit of help would be really appriciated! :) I got around 5 exalts to spend. Last edited by Kurtbert#1950 on Jan 6, 2016, 10:01:52 PM

Could you explain pls, how you are dealing with elemental\physical reflect mobs\packs\maps?
LA - dangerous - out of the screen - if high dmg - you will dead... |
|
Watson1337, the build uses voltaxic to deal with reflect. Chaos damage doesn't count for elemental reflect, so you only have your cold/fire damage being reflected as elemental, which should be nowhere close enough to kill you, and physical, but even with map physical reflect it's still hard to kill yourself.

" First off, great work on optimizing the jewels. I would normally recommend blood using blood dance in your build if you can fit it in but with the unexpected nerf its no longer BiS imo. Even nerfed , not relying on bloodrage or being able to more than offset its life degen is very meaningful. Lightning coil imo is probably going to be your best option for maximum surviviablity( the other is koam's heart but you lose 6 sockets) but the resist penalty is remarkably difficult to offset making it very hard to use uniques like maligaro's/blood dance/rat's nest - meaning it is the ideal option if you can afford very expensive gear. If you plan to go past level 95 I'd say build around LC. If you do not plan to go past 95, a mid grade high evasion high life 6 link chest will do fine but its hardly a black and white situation and you can certainly go past 95 with either chest. At the moment I would recommend upgrade both rings and the amulet and quiver. The amulet is really only giving you 35 elemental damage and you should be able to find far better for a few chaos orbs. Try to get crit chance or crit multi here if at all possible as this is one of very slots to get it. The physical damage does very little for you besides half of it being converted to lightning with LA. Try to get 300 accuracy on one of your item slots - id suggest quiver or ring. Your ring can be easily upgraded at little cost as well. Look for the highest possible flat elemental damage in conjunction with resists. Crit and life and accuracy are great too. I highly recommend getting as much ele flat damage and resists here as cheaply as possible and use them sort of as placeholders while you incrementally upgrade and finalize the other crucial parts of your gear. I got this for a mere 1 chaos orb and it boosts my damage by a huge margin while giving me a small amount of life and a loot of resists. IGN: Arlianth
