What Happens When the Domination and Nemesis Leagues End?

Really, really, REALLY disappointed that ITEM QUANTITY is not coming back... It makes SUCH A HUGE difference playing the game and having a chance at those locked uniques.. This league was not nearly as fun as the previous 4 months because of this.. I really hope you guys consider this as many have voiced this concern in loads of other threads...

I'm not seeing any "wow" rolls on drops. The "wow" rolls come from alch-ing endless pieces of white items.

At least with IIQ I got more to choose from, more currency drops, more everything. So what that the screen is full with whites and blues? You switch it off in battles, and pick up what's good after. That's why there's a Permanent Allocation.






THIS. PLEASE reconsider the iiq gem... The game sucks without it.

I don't get why people are angry about legacy items. All I read is 'new players are so fucked because of them', well here's the thing, if as a new player you enter a league where people have literally thousands of exalts and mirrored BiS items in every slot, you will NEVER catch up, it's pretty much impossible. Legacy items are not the problem, the leagues being permanent is the problem. That's why GGG funnels their new players into the current softcore 4-month league by making it the standard choice for a new account.

Btw I really hope GGG rebalances Storm Herald... also buff drop rates for the lack of IIQ.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

It's not an insignificant amount by any means, it's just confusing as to why they expect the standard economy to be incredibly 'fair' to everyone when it's been a dumping ground for currency and stuff since the whole leagues/races concept was first introduced.

Honestly the map-rarity problem is much larger issue to the quality of this game than any change to IIQ will ever be.

Do you realise how many players there are on standard running 100/500 or more MF?

After this patch they will all be GODS, no one else can ever achieve that level of farm potential and every single new player to the game is completely fucked.

IMO this game is getting worse and worse for new players, and without them eventually the game dies.

Look to the future and learn to code your game properly and not save stats saved on items.

A new player will never catch up to someone who has been farming with 100/500 MF for the past 13 months...

Hardly? I'd say it is there already. Most of them new players that started in domination league because it was the default choice (made by ggg, mind you, it was freshly changed from standard league) will not be restarting in new temp league but instead will stay in standard, growing that playerbase. I'd be willing to bet that standard population will grow but we will see about that.

To begin, you should throw any argument you're trying to make about 'coding properly' out the window, since you can't say anything w/r/t code in this game with any amount of confidence to make a real argument.

And yes, those players will have better MF potential. In standard. Where GGG has shown they don't want new players to stick in. The entire idea of standard is to play characters you really like for the sake of you really liking those characters. If you want to play what GGG considers the current game content, you play the 4months. It's like you're complaining about the rapid inflation of Burning Crusade era enchanting materials three expansions later.
