Have you tried arctic breath over ice spear?

Ive tried it and the projectiles move slightly faster than fireballs, and it seems to have decent synergy.

I have a leveled arctic breath and yes it does nice damage. But keep in mind 2 things about ice spear:
1) ice spear has a much higher base crit chance
2) ice spear can also pierce close targets, and its second form has the massive crit chance increase.

Arctic breath does about 40 more base damage at level 20. Ice spear has 2% higher base crit chance. I have not done the math for damage, but ice spear is much better for utility when doing maps.

I would say barrage works better, but perhaps that is just my opinion.

Barrage can hit a target 8 times, ST can potentially do 10, however achieving 10 hits is much harder. Secondly, wands have very high crit chance, even compared to daggers. Lastly, I find barrage to be WAY better for single targets as you can either pointblank them or hit and run.

There arent really any benefits to leveling up barrage, since physical dmg is useless. Unless you have a high physical crit wand with spell damage, dont bother.

Oh another question, what bandits do you help?

I did Oak so far and now that I'm in cruel I feel like the attack speed might help but I'm not quite sure. Maybe just get the extra node? What did you do?

EDIT: Ended up doing Kraityn for the attack speed. Figured it might increase my dps. I am currently level 45 and trying to save up for a Tabula or 5L Voll's to get this build going.

Currently lvl 74 with this build, and its coming along nicely. Map clear is awesome. However since its Ambush, getting leech is quite hard :/ So survivability is quite low.
Also lightning thorns are an absolute bitch.... how do you counter it Dream?

I find the lightning ladies and I execute them. Aside from that, you just have to be very aware on a map with lightning thorns.

Also, right now i have a 4l setup with COC, EK and LL. I use it justly for difficult situations such as lightning thorns and double reflect.

Is void battery a good wand for this build?

nope, you need higher base crit chance on the wand, and void hits very slow
