I am doing it out of principle and convenience. It is very simple.
Once I realized that the friendlist worked like it does, I had already spent too much time on my characters to give them up. (Yes, took many months to realize XD, I really didn't think any company would design the way GGG does with theirs).
With that knowledge, once I made yet another new character, I made it on a different account and kept trades on yet another account. So three accounts: 1 for trading, 1 for playing and 1 for forum posting.

I'll translate, 1 account for RMT, 1 account for trolling, 1 account to play with to hide the other 2 accounts.

It is convenient compared to quitting a character you really want to play. At the point I both knew how friendlist worked and I decided I wanted to start a new character that I will focus on, the sacrifice required to follow the principle was small enough for me to do it.

my guess is
1st account = is to play of course like most normal people
2nd account is for forum posting as he said . This is so he can troll and be a dumb and not have to worry about it following him to the game. using alt accounts to post in forums is not an uncommon thing.
3rd = for trading. This is obviously an alt account he uses to scam people

If you exploited to 100, GGG will roll you back or delete you.
If you didn't, they won't.
The simple rule in these types of games is "if its too easy, it probably is". Anyone who plays a lot knows what is exploiting and what isn't ;)

Your reasoning is extremely shady. I think GGG should find your secret trading account and investigate for RMT. You still didn't answer the question, as if it's difficult. Again, making a whole new account for a new character is NOT convenient. It's the opposite. Nothing you say makes any sense.

I do get annoyed at times when someone adds me without my consent even if that person is friendly and well-mannared, because it reminds me of the ridiculous friend list system GGG has implemented.
As for what's convenient and isn't: it depends on what you compare to. I told you what I compared to.

So let me repeat again: it is convenient to make a new character on a seperate account when you actually want to start a new character compared to making one when you really wanted to play your old character. :/
