New 1.0.5 Vendor Recipe
" This. A recipe tab or a list of completed recipes would help this and many recipes like it. " I really like this idea, but this would have a reverse effect on high level maps. Instead of people chaosing high maps they would just hoard hammers and only use this recipe on good roll maps, they would only use alchs and skip chaosing and chiseling altogether. That would be a pretty big problem for chisel and chaos values. I'd like to see the recipe get an upgrade where 1 rare 20% stone hammer + map = 2 or 3 chisels. It would create a few currency sinks such as alching 20% stone hammers and maybe even regals for those pesky blue and rare hammers which apparently are worthless. Currently, it would be a massive waste to scour on random blue or rare stone hammers. Wasting a full stack of whetstones would also cost more to make than what you get. I wonder if Hillock-Senpai will notice me when I go to town??

I hope GGG takes the feedback in this thread to heart. Recipes shouldn't always be functional, but in this case we're talking about a basic item that is responsible for progression in the game, not some obscure unique or something. The recipe should be craftable with items you can get from endgame, and not from low-level areas.
The recipe is flawed and I will not waste one second farming hammers when I can either trade for chisels or get them as drops. |

"This recipe will benefit high level players!"

I still prefer to trade 3 equal maps for a new higher one, who needs chisels. :D
At least so far I had the best items out of low, blue non chiseled maps, never had luck in expencive rare maps. RNG still rules in PoE. |

Nothing but disappointment. Not even worth to look through the tons of white items to find that hammer. It's really not efficient.
This recipe should be improved, the hammer part is really bad and won't really help mapping. Last edited by CookieVortex#2622 on Jan 6, 2014, 11:41:22 AM

I don't think people are going to use this recipe much, I've been testing this by farming for Stone Hammers and only found like 3 in more than 5 zones. It's extremely inefficient, and boring as hell.
vaal or no balls

while stone hammer + map == chisel might make sense adding 4whetstones to the mix makes it very expensive
4 dunes maps == 1 sewer map + one dunes remaining. running these two will net: XP (albeit small) + probable loot remove these 4 whetstones from the mix or simply ADD chisels to Clarissa shop for some alterations a piece. problem solved this recipe makes little sense no matter how would anyone look at it. new players will not farm for hammers (as they dont know why/whats etc) high level players will buy chisels with drops from piety runs.. and that whetstones are also worth something Last edited by sidtherat#1310 on Jan 6, 2014, 11:50:32 AM

This recipe is not worth using (and farming for) it.

I don't get it, you can only use stone hammer for this? No rock breakers?

" why would anyone farm for Stone Hammers? You can save ones that drop when rolling new characters or when racing to get few "free" Chisels IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator#6587 on Jan 6, 2014, 11:58:34 AM
