New 1.0.5 Vendor Recipe

I agree, this seems pretty useless unfortunately. I wanted to get excited about a chisel recipe, but I foresee using this recipe 0 times for me at least.

Let's stop the "Vendors sell hammers" thing right here. The people who will be using this recipe are going to be high levels. Vendors only reset at level ups.

Ouch, I didn't know this. Well at least I have 6 high level characters so I can at least run through all the vendors once. Does anyone know at what level does Stone Hammers start dropping/can be found at vendors.

Well they are a lvl 15 item.

While they'll have a chance to be on a vendor at lvl 15, I'm pretty sure you can have items on vendors you can access that are above your level.
So they probably spawn depending on quest status or unlocking a zone.
Unless I'm mistaken, then it will be character level 15 unlock.
Casually casual.

It's a level 15 item so it's possible to be available from gruest as soon as you hit normal act 2. I found one last night after running from camp to western 3 times. Kept finding sledehammers and level 20 warhammer.

Ehhhhhhhhh...thinking about it more...still wish that Rock Breakers and Gavels were included in this. Same type of base item and graphic, just higher ilvl...would be nice to have at least a few more options for the higher level players. Vendors can only go so far when you're stuck with leveling up being the mechanic that resets them, and higher level maps tend to drop more Rock Breakers and Gavels than the SHs, so would be a bit more helpful in that regard.
GGG Logic: High level players need more chisels...let's make the recipe use a low level item! Genius!

Shopping game, no surprise.

I mean the alternative could be using items you would find in high lvl content.

Buying your items or farming faceroll low content is more GGG's vision of hardcore aRPG lootfinder.

I still don't know why they don't make map bosses (even only >xx lvl map) drop a chisel, an alc and a chaos. Would give more incentive and reward for actually doing the boss of certain maps, as right now the risk:reward and incentive is next to nil for some.
Casually casual.

Wtf is that recipe its so bad;....
Better to sell low lvl Map to other player for chisel or other currency and buy chisel....
One Map its 4 chisel, so you need 16 wedstone..., op recipe if you play a lot you can make 1 chisel each week!
And for get the hammer you need to buy one because go farm for drop some its a waste of Time, in High lvl area for the same Time you Will find some currency wich Will worth more than the 3 chisel you make with you 3hammer found...

And if you buy wedstone, hammer and use a Map it Will be worth really more than 1 chisel....

You all who think selling maps is better than do the new recipe, have you ever thought about chisel's dropping? I mean if I run low levels map with my high char then i don't as many chisels as i need. But i get a lot of maps which i never use. For me its something very usefull. Even with my MF Char it's quite hard to farm chisels. With this recipe it will go much faster then farming low level maps.

And yeah better a low level item which everyone can get then something which just drop in Map73+. Because this would be more senseless.

And something you all don't look at. What about selffound players? How they should get there chisels if they don't trade? This is an option which you can use or leave it. But that discussion is really senseless. Dont always think about you, think global!

As a self found player, this recipe uses 2 ingredients that produce alchs.

Sure, we can get slightly more chisels by using the recipe, at the cost of less alchs.
While chisels are indeed shorter supply than alchs for rolling high lvl maps, taking from one already short supply was not my ideal.
Casually casual.
