Dont forget that this is hardcore race and if the "8 hours a day" players get on mercilles difficulty in three days, they can easily die there. It is always better to go slow and safe than go fast and die.

Nice event, screw new players right... I mean, they are new, screw them, its not like you want any more new players to join the game, you satisfied with your old players that can handle not dying in hardcore mod and can make it to top 1,2,3,40...

New players can play the permanent or temporary leagues. This is an out-of-season event anyway. No reason to play it if you don't like it. Personally, I will play it because of the fresh economy (and also because of shrines, and because it's parented to Nemesis.)

I think it's good when this game is thinking on old players, not like most of other online games which are only looking for new players.

Being "new" or "old" player isn't that important of a fact, as there're plenty of "old" players that are still bad at the game. And many of the newcomers has a good grip of gaming, they're just required to learn couple of mechanics.

Playing on HC and not dying isn't something "SO HARDCORE!", it just requires gear-check and general knowledge and awareness of aRPG games.

There are people that will be bad at games no matter what, even if they've spent over a year or two playing the game.

Also to place in TopXX, not dying isn't enough. Try racing and you'll understand - when you hit level 3, others are already 5+.

this race is not about prizes. Noone cares about them. If you think dedicating a week to video games is about prizes then unless you expect to get at least 1k $$ it's not worth even in the slightest.

This race is for those who love marathons and love to take themselves to the limits. It's just the right amount of time you can put in to show what you're all about in this game.

crying about dying in the race is even more hilarious. It's like saying there shouldn't be any marathons because I'm fat and lazy. Nope, you just suck

Time to win 2 demi's ezpz. Good way to kill time before I start mass crafting a bow. :P
