Oro's Righteous Fire Marauder [1.2.0]
" This tree should allow you to sustain Righteous Fire. I'm not sure exactly how many points you'll have at level 65, but it should be ~80-85. Note that when you have the points, you'll want to respecify your path through the Templar area as in this tree. The main concerns at lower levels are boosting your maximum fire resistance and regeneration high enough to sustain Righteous Fire. Beyond that, prioritize life, damage, area of effect, and utility improvements. |

" Why? I think if u have around 50 res above the max, it would be fine, right? |

" Did you do it properly? There are directions on how all through this thread. " No. They only have one affix that fits this build well. They're the basement of movement performance for a build like this. When your source of damage only requires that you be present near an enemy to damage them, you have to have good justification for degrading your ability to do so. Moreover, knockback immunity and Unwavering Stance, while convenient, may be less important for this build than any other. Knockback immunity means little in general, but Unwavering Stance is highly regarded. However, this build doesn't perform actions very often, and can apply damage to enemies whether or not it is stunned. Last, it tends to have a lot of life, which means that you won't suffer from stuns too often. The lack of sockets is a huge issue. If you have the end-all of Righteous Fire chests - Kaom's Heart - you've limited yourself to two 4Ls and two 3Ls. That's a huge difference. You get Righteous Fire, auras, maybe a CwDT link and perhaps a movement skill or curse. The penalty isn't as acute for players who do not use Kaom's Heart, but the concept is the same. All of this for ~60 more life than you could have gotten on rare boots. If you want that life, skip the Alpha's Howl. Last edited by SilkTopHat#6680 on May 7, 2014, 12:13:49 AM

My tree at lvl 62
I have every unique that is required from the op except for Kaom's so I'll be using a Belly of the Beast. Plus I don't have a Divinarus. All good for RF at lvl65? Last edited by EcNeRWaLJ#7827 on May 7, 2014, 8:11:12 AM

Have a slight degen unless I have a frenzy charge. Didn't realize that growth and decay gave regen so grabbing those nodes should fix that. Edit typing on phone is pita lol Last edited by EcNeRWaLJ#7827 on May 7, 2014, 6:44:29 PM

Hello I've seen that Necro doesn't take Iron Reflexes path (growth and decay cluster, etc) like ORO's build. Is this an improvement? He takes Master of the arena path. Can someone please provide feedback on this because i'm new to the LEFT part of the tree and I want to do RF and don't know anything regarding the subject.

" Necro's build gets more armour and Endurance Charges than Oro's build. Oro's build gets more life, life regeneration, and damage. For comparison: here is Necro's tree and here is Oro's tree with the same number of points. (Note that I've modified this to take a different path to the templar area than Oro did in the tree in the original post - it winds up being preferable.) If you compare summaries of the two builds (Necro's, Oro's), the differences become more apparent. Necro's build achieves 252% increased maximum life, 8.9% life regeneration per second (9.9% with five Endurance Charges), 226% increased armor, and 68% increased damage for Righteous Fire. Oro's build achieves 278% increased maximum life, 10.1% life regeneration per second, 64% increased armor, and 137% increased damage for Righteous Fire. Choosing between the two is largely personal preference. Focusing on damage reduction or life and life recovery are different paths to the same goal. That being said - I'm here in this thread because I think Oro's build is the best for Righteous Fire. A high life modifier affects your damage, and all of the damage modifiers ... well, you know. The difference between the two is fairly dramatic. Moreover, Oro's build utilizes The Blood Dance far better than Necro's build. The Blood Dance is an excellent tool for Righteous Fire users, as they allow for generally superior combat durability and go a long way towards enabling the build to run maps with mods it otherwise could not - e.g., Vulnerabilty and half regeneration. In summary, I think Oro's build is better and have explained why. However, if you prefer damage reduction, Necro's build would work too. |
