Oro's Righteous Fire Marauder [1.2.0]

I will be sitting around away from comp all day (school stuff) and I'll think about my gear. As of now, I think I'll be dropping my added light damage on helm, now that I'm no longer self casting ice nova. I can then throw in faster attacks. I'll be attempting to get RRR on my boots for inc dur immortal call. I know, my setup isn't applicable (skill tree wise) to Oro's, but I would still love any assistance I can get. I won't be getting a kaoms probably, so I still have a high % HP. Any critique or comments, mainly gear or gem wise, is very appreciated!

Edit: That last post by me ("... What?") was rather hastily typed. My English and paragraph structures go out the window when doing that. I'll take my time to avoid confusion :P

When I'm putting on Kaom's Heart instead of CJ after snapshotting RF, RF's damage get increase from Kaom's?

Nope. People switch to Kaom's afterwards purely to have higher life.[/quote]

I thought this was a bad idea? If you have a kaom's doesn't it make more sense to snapshot RF with it on for the added damage then to get the extra radius from a carcass jack?

Righteous Fire has a very small area of effect by default, and it only gets smaller with Concentrated Effect. Carcass Jack helps to offset this.

Question about using Cyclone with RF.

This unique axe is kind of interesting.

With an added cold damage gem with my Cyclone, would that 40% burning damage on chilled enemies be any good? Or is the chill from a cold damage gem not good enough to proc that 40%?

thanks

No good: fire damage from main hand will negate EE.
So does hitting monsters with cyclone + added cold damage gem proc enough cold damage to make elemental equilibrium work? If that's the cast, I guess I should be trying to cyclone as many monsters as I can. At least the stronger ones that don't melt instantly anyway right?

Yes, cyclone + cold gem will always proc EE. Or you could have +cold damage on any piece of jewelry or your weapon. As little as ADDS 1-2 COLD DAMAGE is enough. Or lightning.

Just make sure you have no +fire damage on your jewelry or weapon. Look at the offense tab for cyclone to see what elemental damage it does.

To be sure, that is not how the OP is set up in this thread. He uses CwDT to trigger frost nova to proc EE. But yeah, I just cyclone through everything.

OBTW I recommend limiting yourself to just 1 ring with cold damage, and keep a spare one with lightning. Then if you roll in a party you can switch it up as necessary. E.g. with a freeze pulse witch, you want to proc EE with lightning, not cold.
As confirmation to any nay-sayers, I killed Atziri with my partner. Without considerably more DPS, there's no way I could solo Atziri. Note, I used the exact same gear as above, putting a temp chains totem in helm (BM+TC+Totem) and RRRG boots for a Immortal Call Inc Dur BM setup.

My major job (as my partner is a spec thrower) is to solo first fight and move between the fights.
Sadly, we got 2 24/15 flasks and a 23/14 >.>

What's everyone's opinion on snapshotting the scepter?

I assume you mean Doryani's Catalyst. If you can get two with excellent elemental damage rolls, it could be desirable for the sake of convenience.

For the sake of damage, they may not be preferable - remember that Redbeaks can give up to 30 life each.

This build kinda sucks for it :P

The second is when shit hits the fan. There's no way with 3 endurance charges and 20/20 increased duration immortal call you can survive. I managed to kill the first, while enfeebling. After that, I couldn't get enough uptime and I burnt through pots very quickly to survive.

Agreed. The 2nd fight against the guardians is impossible for me. At least it is without dying.
I almost got the last of the 3 guardians on my last try, but with 6 deaths beforehand.

If anyone has some good tips on how to survive this, I'd be very grateful.

I have 6.2k life
