Explanation of some changes in 0.9.13h

It's a shame that the recipes are made more difficult. I really liked the way it was. And even with the old recipes, i am ALWAYS short on alchs.
lol... what about being able to change the scereenshots directory for whatever i want?
As much as some will not want to see the recipe changes, or understand why it is needed, I am sure there are a large bunch of us that are truly pleased to see this finally addressed.

My only other comment would be about hybrid gear. Another much needed change. However, I am curious, has the EV/ES and AR/ES hybrids been given any thought? So far most comments, in game and out, have been about the AR/EV gear, which simply shows many are planning for an IR build---which is already rather common and, frankly, boringly overused.

ES hybrid gear on the other hand could be very interesting with the right about of buff. It may just be me, but the amount of ES on the hybrid gear is severely lacking. More so than any armor/evade hybrid.

Like the patch notes keep it up! The game is turning out to be truly something (if it hasn't already)!

However,

Regarding the 10% buff on hybrid defensive pieces is a great start.. This being said, there are still issues with how the defenses actually work.

Energy Shield / Evasion : This hybrid always ends up being end game pieces for pure ES users, it can provide close to the same ES (Which is easily accumulated) and grant some chance to evade.

Evasion / Armour : A good idea but doesn't work well due to not being able to achieve enough armour to achieve a notable reduction in damage - Especially against hard hits. This defense hybrid also doesn't grant enough evasion to for the player to sacrifice the loss in armour (Some may argue evasion needs to be reworked).

Energy Shield / Armour : Theoretically the best combination, granting large amounts of EHP. However since armour's returns are so low and noneffective this leaves the Energy Shield with little mitigation. Unless spec'd into ES the recharge rate (Note the templar has no ES recharge nodes near him) has no time to recharge during battles, making the player wait so he can take a few more hits.

They are aware of the issues, thats why there is a buff (probably for the same reasons as the ones you explained)
I'm really looking forward to some pvp tournaments before the open beta reset, now that the PvP damage scaling has been changed and things should be ballanced a bit more. :)
Cant wait for Open Beta, final wipe, I have tried all the classes at the moment and I am looking forward to make a sword board Ranger, with the buffs on the hybrid based armors, I can actually see my build becoming better and I am looking forward to all the changes that the next patches will come with.

This is true. I can't helping thinking though the changes have been left as late as possible in order to maximize revenue from people buying tabs though.
