Good change with rare naming matches. Stashtabs were misused.
Chris will there be my eyepicking raven as pet on lunchday ? Any info about blood patch ?
You know this is the main revenue place and there is still little information about that.
If both are yes then you have my 20$-30$

We've changed the vendor recipes related to matching rares that have the same name. It's still possible to get Orbs of Alchemy and Regal Orbs, but is more complex and costly. As usual, we're not revealing the exact recipes, but I'm sure people will work them out sooner or later. The new ones are balanced so that arbitrarily filling stash tabs with rares isn't as profitable as before, but there are still ways that clever players can profit from the time spent matching rares. This change will substantially reduce the economic consequences of rare matching.
Come on that's terrible if you can't alch every map anymore. Then at last remove all effects from normal currency on maps and add map only currency such as chisels, that add same effects.

I oppose that. Matching rares isn't answer.

Assume it's harder to get alchemy orbs(and regals which won't be used in HC at last) then you won't be able to progress on maps with rare rolls anymore. It's already frustrating if you reach level 73 and only have got level 60 maps but if you can't increase the chance for map drops because alchemy orbs are too rare. It will only add frustation.
I wouldn't mind much if chance orbs had a higher chance to generate rare maps or vendors would sell them.
Let's say it's some receipe like 2-3 rare items 3 same mods.
This heavily decreases the chance of getting an alchemy orb.

As Merciless is probably going away... I would expect the quest rewards to rotate appropriately:
Old ---- New
A1 N --- A1 N
A2 N --- A2 N
A1 C --- A3 N
A2 C --- A1 C
Etc.
The only alternative to this would be to reduce the award rate of EXP, which would in effect mean going into A2 weaker and leaving A3 at same level you would leave A2 now...
This is what I meant...
A1 N = 5 Skill Gems (+1 for 1st mob)
A2 N = 2 Skill Gems
A3 N = ? (A1 C has 4 Skill Gems)
A1 C = ? (4 again or 2 like A2 C?)
A2 C = ? (2 or 4 again?)
Ect...

Changing the alch recipe is GGG's way of nudging people to buy p2w tabs. plain and simple. POE's whole business model is based around the cash shop, it makes sence then that they devs would push/incentivize every item in the cash shop.... since there is only tabs and characters slots, there you have it. Now its Pay-alot-2-win tabs.

I agree with Hilbert, trying to chain higher lvl maps is already a huge currency sink. Since we don't know the new recipe yet and its implications I won't further speculate on it but if it does lower the overall amount of Alchs gained then chaining high lvl maps solo will be a pain in the ass (which it is already as it eats up a ton of orbs).

So true, more incentive to not bother with endgame. :(
