Explanation of some changes in 0.9.13h
Boosting hybrid armors was really necessary, the sum of their defense values was equal as a same level normal armor, but when calculating equivalent protection you don't sum it. That was probably the main reason of hybrids sucking.

I am glad to see the shield block balance. At least for evasion/block builds I was not even considering shields with lower than 30% base block. And Crest Of Perands was THE shield, hands down the best for evasion/block. 1650 evsion 36% block shield provided noticably less survivability than the unique. Although we'll see if it's possible to get decent survivability with shield ranger now.

I'm pretty much getting used to the fact that I'll probably have a total of 5 alchemy orbs drop over my playtime come open beta. This rare matching thing is probably the only way I kept my hands on any.

Considering open betas tend not to last more than 2 weeks, thats quite a practical quantity to assume, depending on how long you decide to farm ofc.

If open beta is going to be in Dec, and there's a closed beta race on 9 Dec, then
10 Dec > OB > 31 Dec which is only a 20-day period and very, very tight in what I imagine is a development schedule. " I dunno, but I think POE's open beta might last quite a bit longer than that... Also NTFS supports JUNCTIONS and you CAN map drives as folders. So you have 2 options: * make a small partition and map it as documents/My Games (and move the contents of that folder to the disk) * create a junction How to create a junction? In windows xp you need to download a small program called junction from sysinternals. On windows 7 (and probably vista) you have a command mklink... start cmd as admin and write mklink to get the help you need. And remember to create a junction, symbolic/hard links I think work only for explorer. Just tested and it makes a junction to another hdd just fine. It will take a lot of time for the devs to implement useless stuff like this so you shouldn't burden them with little useless details! -------------------- Also VAAL OVERSOUL IS BROKEN AND NEEDS TO GET FIXED. Fighting him is just not fun. He uses a totally alien skillset. And getting oneshotted even when you stack a ton of life is just insane. |

Food for thought. "Could you double check that? Perhaps something is broken or not functioning properly because there's no way these are the same map drop rates as before. Other notable end-game players feel the same way, it's way harder to progress higher than level 65 or so. The last patch note that says anything about map drops was 0.9.12o, in which map drops were increased and getting higher level maps were made easier. Correct me if I'm wrong.
