Upcoming patches and race events

Since we're all talking about solo trading. I think it's okay in the longer races but can be abused in short races where a player might have an assistant running just for gear.

I didn't trade at all during the races, I think it would be essential to trade with people on voice comm to minimize wasted time.
For the short course races I'll agree with the others on having a "No Trading" rule but for any forthcoming long races, (ie. 1 week Solo), I think trading should be made available.

For myself, the spirit of "Solo" is for farming, (as well as leveling) and being able to build wealth through the trading of the farmed items.

It may be crazy but..

One Week Turbo Hardcore Cut Throat Solo

or as I like to call it, Highlander Week.

I would fucking love that!

Also I like many other want solo cut throat events, never tried it before but looks like soooooo much fun.

And solo races should have trade disabled.
Its always in the last place you look
Trading is VERY bad in solo race. I could pay some one in like default to come the race league and for 10-15 minutes make character kill hillock check shop for a good wand or something then make a new character and do again. I have seen some really good items in shops after just hillock.. like items I used all 3 hours of a race.

Right now a person can do that for him self but he wastes time that he could be leveling his main character so it evens out. If he paid someone to do it for him while he levels then it will be impossible for people not doing that to beat him. In a week solo league or something then obviously trading would be ok... but in short duration trading is terrible.

Yes to solo cut-throat lol.. hopefully with a longer duration than the last ones like maybe 4 hours..? In a 4 hour race solo cut-throat it would be so crazy. People will be looking for the top players in their class to slow down by killing.

How bout a one week default league? There might be more interest from people like me who suck at keeping characters alive lol.. :/ If not then just a normal one week hardcore would still be good. Way too much turbo races lately.. unless its because your still testing balance. I hate turbo leagues because fighting brutus on a witch relies on luck in my opinion :/

Well quite obviously, trading is unpreventable in Solo cut-throat events, but I would not participate in any long term Solo events because its just stupid to me. This obviously doest apply to solo cut-throat because I would still be able to create "alliances" with people even though we are technically still "enemies".

Sometimes its more fun if your team mate could potentially turn on you (not that they cant do that in a normal cut-throat event), also it might add a "threatening" dynamic to "trading" ;)

In solo races I think trading should be disabled because it doesnt reflect the theme of the "solo" events, because I think organised traders can consistently do better in events. There is a trade off though, you still have to be organised or you will end up wasting more time. If I were to trade, it would be at the level of organisation you need for a party (i.e. pre-emptively organised trade times)
Cut throat please
The only lethality of Turbo is Desync. Any clue why that stuff happens? When we can have some relief? Ruthless Brutus is an utter bastard when he does his teleport dance. Not sure if the GGG team experiences desync unless they play away from the servers? Or do they only play 'lan style'.

I'd probably agree with most others here that trading should be for long term races only. Even on Party Mode I go solo and never/hardly trade.

And the suggestion to a non hardcore week race I totally support. Sounds like there will be only 1 race otherwise, and that's the wipe on Open Beta.

One thing I'd like to know is how come some people have several Demigods? Not that I want one, the stats don't suit me. But seriously maybe some other people deserve them more then the same old racers over and over again.
I dont expect much trading between non-partying chars in the short races at all, the time to match offers with demanders is a too big sacrifice, at least for the 'better' players in the upper region of the results table. Remember, that these people are far above the content (under-leveled), what stuff could others find better than they on their own?

The problem with helpers at the very beginning could be an issue (of sparing time for not creating own multiple chars), but as it is now, I see a "stopper" (in solo): how do you trade? how do you manage to be in the same instance (town) with your mate, if you cant party with him/them? AFAIK, you cant handle different instances on your own for towns...
So I think, its mainly an issue in races where you can party with your helpers for quick trades, but then you have to find mates that dont ("fully") participate also.

Has to be thought about again, once we're able to trade with people we did not have to see, of course.

On the other hand, the very limited 'usefulness' of such trades from the view of the end results - I see no problem with disabling it. The only discussion-worthy 'feature': it can lead to more chars staying alive (if they use the possibilities), at least over the first levels... (what you get gifted from strand drops will probably not keep you alive at Brutus, maybe not even at Hailrake...)
