Nazi symbol in map. (Place were you get chest is in the shape of a swastika)

Crusades - no, it wasn't just soldiers, just look at the first crusade and the siege of Jerusalem. And then all the other crusades and cities... Does it really matter how many people died?

And then there is the middle ages inquisition thing, how many innocent people were tortured and killed? That cross is just as bad as the other. Although Christians chose a shape of an actual crucifixion tool, a torture method, while nazis picked something a lot more ambiguous.

The point is, swastika is not a symbol of killing 6M Jews, just as a knife is not a symbol of mass murderers, penis is not only a tool of rape and car is not only a coffin on wheels. You can find something negative in almost everything, healthy adult mind can however distinguish a symbol and what could it represent from what it actually is.

The point is that the Crusades was a war to take land, that's different then killing 9m civilians in a attempt to eliminate an entire race of people.

A few people did not make the cross a terrible thing, sure the Bishop told them to get rid of worshipers of other religion, but he did not know exactly what they were doing.

yep, your not a Jew/Christians/Muslim, if you were you would now that it was the Roman empire that used the cross as a killing toll for people who worshiped God. The Christians toke that image around and showed it as a symbol that they were victorious.

Your right, the swastika is not a symbol of killing 9M Jews, but the Nazi symbol is.

You think of crusaders as a war to take land, what was WW2 then? My country was given to Hitler just to make him stop in 1938 (it didn't work at all, of course). The point being, swastika is not a symbol of holocaust, just a sign that certain country used when doing quite bad things.

And is killing civilians allowed if you have one symbol on your uniform but not when you have a different one? Of course the means were different (because they didn't have the tech back then) but the results were pretty much the same (innocent people suffering and dying).

The church made the inquisition happen, that some bishops didn't know about what is happening is like advocating for holocaust because you never heard of it. And they were using the cross as a symbol so many people can connect the cross with the pogroms, interrogations, torture and what not now.
I am aware what was crucifixion about, note I was the one who mentioned it in the first place. You are still entirely missing the point. Symbol is not the same thing as the deed that is connected to it. So let's not allow anything shaped like a cross to appear in game because they used such a thing to kill people in past or to justify murders later?

Ridiculous? So is this thread in my opinion. The swastika is a perfectly accepted symbol in most countries so long as it is not used as a symbol of Nazism. A room in the shape of a swastika, a symbol that predates Hitler by thousands of years, is not indicative of Nazism. This community is quite disappointing as of late with all this prejudical bullshit. I get that people have some sensitivities, but this is getting old quite fast.

the swastika is an ancient sun symbol also why the third riech chose to use it as the symbol of the nazi's because of the tie to ancients. the nazi's wanted the belief that they were the chosen race so they decked out in as much ancient lore as possible.

to object to the swastika simply for its shape because the nazi's used it would mean having to add the eagle which they also added as part of the dressing and the Iron cross and several other symbols which never get mentioned.

your objection to the swastika is a bit much considering you are unlikely to be old enough to have ever seen it used by nazi's. how many people have history around europe from Romans conquering the countries where they live would you take them seriously if they denounce (again) the Eagle which was a paramount symbol of the troops and they would have the Nazi's use of it as a bonus reason to complain.

the symbol itself is nothing more than that a symbol its use and the context of that use is the only factors which would justify condemnation. to simply find the symbol in a game map is literally seeing faces in the shadows to complain of it just makes you look paranoid.

jeez, you guys don't get it? the nazi's re-made the bible and made it so it would say that they are the chosen people and were justified to kill millions of people, that's why this symbol is so appalling, it reminds us of how ignorant people are and the terror that Hitler created.

Now, it does not realy matter what it use to mean and ill show some exaple of other things that had there meaning changed:

Gay meant happy before it was changed.
