Build of the Week: Season 2 Episode 1

Still sad that Throwing weapon was implemented as a skill instead of as a type of weapons....

How is that sad? I think it's better this way.

It seems cool that they say the big 2 handed weapons have a larger hit radius and they hit slow, whereas daggers I suppose would have a smaller radius, but fast attack speed and with critical hits, a much bigger potential for overall damage.

Anyway, I think it's cool how they've implemented it.

I feel like all these people that complain about things have this idea in their own head of what something should be. Step out of your box, think a little, the game isn't and can't be made to please everyone's little ideas of exactly what they think it should be. Why can't we just be happy that it seems like a cool, and different skill to use?

With the same level of gear an ES character would have 10K+ ES.... GGG either fucking hates life builds or they have no fucking idea how to implement them. Chris brags about the increase at 250% life bonus with the changes yesterday but the build he showcases has about half that. I wonder how many times he died trying to make this video.

i wonder if he had ever played game beyond lvl 70 with not spawned gear. this build with medium gear is suicide. that ring alone is worth several exalts

i think that Chris might even not understand our concerns as balancing is being done by other guy. 250% life.. yeah

thia life build shows clearly that life situation stays the same and no matter how much we point this out nothing will happen. if they decide to show as a botw life build that almost dies to white lvl66 map trahs mob..

i think it is too late tho..
yes yes yes !

That is exactly the build i want to do instead i'm using lightning strike

trigger on dmg gem with molten shell and endurance cry/immortal call sweet sweet !

anyone noticed iron grip keystone is in place of blood magic.. wondering where the blood magic one is now :)

Im not against Spectral throw... i just feel that with the mechanic they gave him, any other projectile weapon feels like crap.
and i said instead, because with this OP mechanic, good luck GGG to make throwing weapons look fine

and mmm
its not MY idea of the things... it GGG's idea of what a Arpg should be, they always claim to work the game into having multi-customizable features... to improve builds variability... spectral throw is the easy lazy path which has 10x less variety than throwing weapons

Getting all life nods on passive tree should give additional survival, not the mandatory basic survival.

Really? He was just showcasing a build... literally jumping into packs of monsters or letting them run into him.

I guarantee someone playing that exact build who was actually TRYING not to get hit by everything, and playing a bit more defensively and aware of their surroundings, would BARELY have gotten hit or taken damage.

THAT is why the game is great. You have to actually react to the situations you are in.

Would you rather they nerf the game so much that you can literally just face tank everything, even when you are playing a character that is built more offensively, which his clearly was.
New act will be added - is it mean, that monster levels in locations of a1-a3 in cruel and merciles dificulties will be increased?

Why would those monster levels go up? The next act will have higher levels we can assume, and that's where everyone will start farming.

well, of course the game is going to be hard, that is the entire draw of the game is that is difficult and getting perfect gear is a massive grind, but you see regular progress in gear and levels. That said this build was not very tanky at all and the items they were using was only about average for a life build nothing super good or expensive. That is nowhere near a GG 5link, it was average gear for someone at that level doing maps. The build was actually a bit less tanky than most people would build because it has so much travel so the build would not really be very good until you're level 80 so that could be a bit of it as well.

not gg items?
ring: triple resist + dual dmg mods + high hp
5L armor: 100hp, dual resist, good armor and es.
5L weapon: 349 p dps
boots: 30 ms, hp, dual resists + main stats

i can go on but i'll stop here. all his items are way above what a player with 4h of POE a day will have at lvl 75 starting a new league. and this guy has trouble with 66 maps. are you kidding me?

The person you replied to is right from my point of view. There were no uniques equipped and just about all the gear he had on can be attained if you really wanted it.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!
