well, of course the game is going to be hard, that is the entire draw of the game is that is difficult and getting perfect gear is a massive grind, but you see regular progress in gear and levels. That said this build was not very tanky at all and the items they were using was only about average for a life build nothing super good or expensive. That is nowhere near a GG 5link, it was average gear for someone at that level doing maps. The build was actually a bit less tanky than most people would build because it has so much travel so the build would not really be very good until you're level 80 so that could be a bit of it as well.

not gg items?
ring: triple resist + dual dmg mods + high hp
5L armor: 100hp, dual resist, good armor and es.
5L weapon: 349 p dps
boots: 30 ms, hp, dual resists + main stats

i can go on but i'll stop here. all his items are way above what a player with 4h of POE a day will have at lvl 75 starting a new league. and this guy has trouble with 66 maps. are you kidding me?

movies ending. he enters new map and instantly is on low life. any +dmg mod and that char would have been dead. it seems that +life changes changed little (and that is with mana shield)

this build is just like most life builds. almost no dmg nodes all into life a still squishy as hell.. i really hope that there are more life changes approaching

as it is now lvl 66 dungeon with vulnerabiliy added lightning and boss damage can easily kill characters facerolling 75maps. both due to immense spike dmg of brutus and desync. so map lvl imho means little. it is the peak dmg of the map that matters.

that build presented would have zero chamces with that kind of spike dmg. it looks to be ev based but does not use blind/enfeeble so that smash would have landed. and brutus is easily the worst boss to offscreen due to desync and hook (well piety also kicks ass). it is a glass cannon build showing all that is wrong with life builds. swap spectral throw for any melee skill and this char is dead instantly. it is easy to faceroll white mobs when ovegeared.. and even these almost killed her

All that nice gear, almost all passives focused on survival, and white rhoa almost kills if it were not for mana shield. And even worse is people coming and saying "of course it is squishy it has ONLY %130 life nods".

GGG can't you see something wrong here?

Getting all life nods on passive tree should give additional survival, not the mandatory basic survival.
Awesome work! CANT WAIT!

Also 3.5k hp is plenty survivable with a set up like this as the 30% damage you take to mana makes it a lot tankier than you would think, it mainly just needs LL.

dude he has good items and its shit, face it

spending cash on supporter packs has ZERO effect on gameplay.....

that said i'm super pumped about the return of botw! unlike a bunch of people i'll overlook potential balance issues and have faith that they'll get ironed out over time!

love it GGG!

never said it did, read properly!

yeah, have faith that they get ironed out over time, like they have in the past 2 years ... owait ...

That build looks pretty fun. I was thinking of something similar anyway, but with my own passive tree (not a fan of copy and paste).

Having the 2 different CoDT gems is perfect to have 4-5 endurance charges up and then cast both immortal call/molten shell. I wonder what else was linked in that 5-link maul (or did I just miss it)?
With the same level of gear an ES character would have 10K+ ES.... GGG either fucking hates life builds or they have no fucking idea how to implement them. Chris brags about the increase at 250% life bonus with the changes yesterday but the build he showcases has about half that. I wonder how many times he died trying to make this video.
