More 1.0.0 Information

Well ES gives you no armor most of the times. But armor is almost useless against the kills that one-shot. And some ES builds that have IR easily get 4 - 8k armor with grace, determination and the ES+Armor/Evasion nodes.

In that range of armor you mitigate the hits that are annoying and you still survive the big hits only because you get a huge life pool.

The fact itself that i consider a waste when i put a point in ES that has no added bonus to it, like Armor or Evasion , signifies that ES is kinda overpowered ;D

The significant con of ES is that its way harder to use for inexperienced players - the tricky regen, or the stun/freeze mechanics.

Relax Heisenberg , i am not insulting anyone. NijAAlba's explaination was a masterpiece.People here are crying why CI builds can have 9-10k es as life pool while hp builds can have 4-5k. +500 hp isnt nothing , is more than a OP buff. To bad you cant see. Now i demand an apology.

Yes but Armor or Evasion by itself cant do much , you need to invest on it. If your gear is hybrid ar/es or ev/es means that you will lose some decent amount of es in the name of survivabilty. Same thing goes on flat es gear , you stack as much more es you can for survivability.

I have seen only low life builds that use grace/determination for armor. On CI builds if you use them means that you will lose discipline or clarity or haste.

If you mean one shot kills the smash from Vaal in Maze map the only thing i can say is that attack is meant to one shot you thats why he cast it almost 2 seconds so you can see it and avoid it. Even Brutus with vulnerability need two/three shots to kill you. Other one shots deaths are from lack of hp 2k-2.5k/resists/armor and that rings the bell that you are not ready to face maps with such of amount of health. (Lack of gear , bad theorycraft)
500 life is about 4 nodes which is about how many youll effectively lose by no longer being able to go through the center to pick up the 6 6 10 cluster. at least for mara<->ranger.

What you said here is complete and total BULLSHIT, and even that is an understatement about how wrong you are.

1. +2 life per level is not easily +500 life. To be able to turn it into 500 life you need to invest ALL your passive tree to life nods. Even then it may not be enough.

2. As long as you have some kind of leech, as a melee you wont die as long as you play with a little attention, unless you get into stun/freeze lock. Any death is player error, EXCEPT one shot.
When it comes to one shot, Vaal Oversoul is the only one you can apply player skills to avoid it. Every other one shot is just a stat check. If you have more life than that one shot, you will win, otherwise you die on spot.

3. Armor does not prevent you to get one shot. Evasion only delays 1-2 seconds at best. ES is the ultimate solution against one shot. With little investment you can get out of one shot range, while life builds need to invest ALL their passives to life nods to get close.

4. You said "that rings the bell that you are not ready to face maps with such of amount of health. (Lack of gear , bad theorycraft)" The only way I can interpret that;
bad theorycraft: Not having %200 life from passives
Lack of gear: Lack of Kaom (40ex) and having pieces of equipment with less than 90 life on them.



Noone invest into Life nodes to improve their survival against crowded mobs. People get life nods to avoid one shot kills. The way I see it problem is not the Life or ES or anything. It is one shot kills.

I made a suggestion thread to propose putting a cap on single hits so that they can not one shot you from max Life+ES, please come and read it, and hope you will agree with me.
