Kotaku unveils Path of Exile's Third Act

Someone made a comment how the graphics were outdated and dull.

While the graphics aren't the best, it has a hell of a lot of detail, which you don't notice unless you specifically look at individual models or textures.

Yea, it has a hell of a lot of details, I love it very much. We should also remember, that there is a tradition to make aRPG's viable on most computers, which also is a good reason for not having Crysis-graphics.

Just ignore the troll replies you see about any game.

The only problem I see with the graphics is that some areas are way too dark. I don't want bright cartoon like graphics which a lot of games have now days but I don't want to kill mobs in the dark either.

1.2 million donations and six years in development. That can't be profitable yet. I hope they come up with something good for the cash shop which people will buy as I really hope the start operating in the green quickly so that it will encourage other small shops and perhaps POE2.

Gamers are some mean MoFo's it seems, more so than ever.

TBH if some 1 dose not like the art style of this game they probley will not like the game at all. a Dirty grit filled game that has character in the way it looks offten plays the same with with challange and difficulty. Lets let the troll kids keep thare WOW look games, less cash to GGG but stops me from incressing my beer intake from 12 up to 18 a day. Hey with all that money i save mabey i can get gold upgrade ;)=

I understand that GGG wanted to make the game a little more popular by giving one of the largest (and worst) gaming "journalism" sites a preview of their newest addition to the game but if I look at the comment section of that article, I expect to see little to none new entries to the community (which is probably a good thing, tbh). No idea why there is so much hate going around.

In regards to Act 3, wonderful job, GGG. That last screenshot in the temple looks amazing and I do hope that Piety of Theopolis turns into something bigger later on so that we might see some demon action going on. A normal fight against her would be pretty boring (if it will end like that).

Did I already mention that this game still lacks demons?

I realy liked Diablo 2 but Diablo 3 is so kiddish and not many skills to choose from.

I really like the act 3 so far. However the comments are mostly pretty damn bad. I mean it is good that those people don't play the game as they won't be missed (at least by myself). To me it is alarming how many people want easy shitty shallow game desings that does not punish any mistakes at all. Even worse are comments about graphics. What the hell? I do not give a shit about graphics as long as the game is fun and challenging (and it is not WOW or Torchlight 2 cartoonish pile of poo).

I remember being 12-13 years old playing complicated games that were unforgiving and having so much fun despite not even being able to fully understand everything as my english at that age was very low and i had to use disctionary all the time. For instance TES Daggerfall was such am experience for me, i played for so long without even knowing the recall spell.

Anyways, i like the direction POE is towards to and i hope GGG won't step aside due to any pressure from "dumb" players who want stuff simple. I know everything is based on the amount of people and unfortunately you need to make as many people as possible interested in your game. Also hope you will stay by your promise that microtransactions won't affect the gameplay.

Also sorry for being a little rude, but i always get angry when i see how simplistic and graphics oriented games are becoming lately.
