What's happening when Anarchy/Onslaught leagues end?
" It would seem so. The funny thing is the people who have those items, with the exception of Kaoms, are just gonna have them rotting in their stash anyways as they will be playing new leagues. Anarchy/Onslaught T shirt

" If you really measure it correctly, the big advantage here is not the old players have learned more, but because they lived in a wealthy era and all their property even keep becoming more worthy. Of course the vets can already farm better a.t.m since they have the lead and are farming ilv 75+ rares and sell them into ex while new account is begging for a help of finishing normal piety. But it is irony that the dev themselves do want to stop this advantage and thats why we start new fresh leagues. now I believe the only hope to make new ppl less upset is what dev may do to the new unique items. like the 2nd generation Kaom is 0.8k life, 3rd generation(spawned after the next 4 months) is 0.7k but 3 linked, 4th one 1k life again. In the even longer term ppl may forget what they can not gain due to "history reason". But still I expect a big storm of unhappy voice coming after ggg implement this change. " The funny thing is that many people won't play the new leagues myself included though the devs are trying so very hard to make me with their drop only uniques. I have a limited amount of time to play and standard was supposed to be the solution for me and the ones like me except now it won't be. Since you guys seem so sure the new leagues are a solution to all the problems in the world so you completely don't care about standard how about you don't care if it happens the other way around and no legacy items exist. Won't affect you anyway. And while envy is a big part of the reason it's not really the relevant reason for why not to have legacy items. PvP, balanced playing ground, the huge incentive it gives RMT are all a lot more relevant. | |
" So are you saying that by allowing some legacy items..the devs are trying to "make you" play in new leagues? That is a stretch! what does limited playtime have to do with anything? that should make you WANT to be in new leagues, you know...the leagues where there are not already mass amounts of wealth concentrated at the top...why are you not up in arms about that? this negates your next paragraph where you acknowledge a element of envy but try to deflect to other more "relevant" reasons. this really is all about envy for you isn't it? keep in mind i have none of these legacy items so i have no items to protect here, i just like these special kinds of legacy items in games and have yet to read a credible argument why this is such a bad idea (especially considering we have had them in game all year, silverbranch for example...) ~SotW HC Guild~

new leagues have:
- CON: start from the ground up. so first few days/weeks is a 'so fun' phase of accumulating wealth/gems/gear and leveling characters trough the same old boring lvls. - CON: boring and unimaginative mods. it seems ggg lacks the balls to create something like 'perma-descent' or 'melee only' or 'witch only' or whatever. yep - you can limit yourself to these playing normal league - but this is not 'ladder' - CON: if you dont want to spend first 2 weeks gridning stuff so you can start playing the game - you have to spend hours after hours in trade chat. - PRO: new uniques/items - PRO: ladder when you can anxiously wait to change position from 15000+ to 14309 in templar category so exactly what is the incentive to play new leagues? economy? guess what - d3 just admitted that creating game of this type around economy is not that great of an idea. they were benefiting from AH - and still decided to close it. so reasons have to be sound and they probably are. anarchy and onslaught were really too long and unimaginative. rouge exiles.. yep. and 'everything moves 20% faster' was really nothing interesting. |

" both of you really have no clue, its absolutely nothing of what you make it to be. multiple versions of the same already proven overpowered uniques is a cancer to any game, including this one, all leagues, including standard. this is the real and without a doubt argument. It doesnt have to be proven because its true by itself, to the core, its a true axiom. Take it as it is, knowing its the truth. and you, trying to make it into anything else it just prove how childish and pathetic you are, because you dont understand such a simple concept: "legacy" items are always always bad and they should never exist in any league. period. anyone who say different is just wrong. |
|
" im not surprised that you think that was a "threat" (lol) because you're like ggg, a scared little girl thats afraid to man up and take the correct actions: balance all existing uniques, not only future drops. |

I Agree.
keeping old kaom an old kaom is good idea. It would be unbearable loss for me if something is changed to it ,while i spent soo much time and currency obtaining it.. On the other hand... @Kris Its not right that amongst ur ranks there are leaks! Kaom fewer to obtain one began a whole 2 weeks before any of this change was public knowledge! And that's what's the most disturbing!VERY |

" why is so hard for you to understand that people play in whatever league they play based on their own and personal reasons? why is so hard to understand that a healthy and balanced game is needed and required in all leagues, including standard? why is so hard to understand that having multiple versions of the same item exist in the game is just plain wrong/bad? you just asked the wrong question. |
