What's happening when Anarchy/Onslaught leagues end?

these people went on and on for days about stupid footprints...this too shall pass after some whimpers.

server wipe, as in character wipe.. needs to happen for this game to be successful when it goes public and is advertised. end of story, you cant release a game and have everyone be 90's already its not logical. also for the people who dont want one cuz u r greedy and dont want ur farming garbage to go away..get over it, i love this game and i hope they do character wipe and my end game gear is amazing so ya.. neways peace

i think most of the people here dont even understand what being creative means. does everybody really need to have legay items for new builds? is it impossible to think up new builds/varietys without them? are you people yust yealous because there are others with better items? grow up, there is still a lot more content comming and who knows what awesome items eternal supporters/GGG comes up with.

be creative and make builds that others say are impossible with items noone would have thougt of.

I hear what you're saying. However not everyone copies their build. The only one I've ever copied is Mara groundslam when I first started. Got it to 63 and started a new toon. I've yet to copy another. Something fun though. .. Last week I mapped out a CI dagger build and thought I would compare it to the popular one. .they varied by about 3 or 4 points.

Anyway back on topic... I'm not for the legacy items. Either change them all or none. Because as we've seen ggg has and will balance via the tree vs items which screws everyone not owning said item. Now as many have said , although I didn't feel it until today, this only applies to standard. .and standard doesn't matter as its the collection of failed and league completion accounts. We could assume that standard will always get the shaft from this and past actions.

Why are they idiots? Because they choose not to start over on a new ladder? I think not. They could perhaps say the same about you and others who want and think this is the only solution or answer. Some want to continue with their stash and characters they have. And for choosing This They will have a limited or nerfed version... Watered down, lopsided even play experience because of multiple versions of items existing and the game being balanced around these items.

Those issues won't exist in new leagues. If you want to play in standard and keep your stuff, cool. Everyone else wants to get to keep their stuff, also. Why should you be the only one to keep your stuff? Hence, Legacy items.

Look, I know that many of you guys already have the legacy items and the fact they they might become extremely overpowered and unavalaible to other players makes you people feel like special snowflakes. However, not everyone can afford every single items that will be grandfathered on several characters for their multiple builds... Maybe GGG thinks that they are rewarding the people who played the beta by doing this, but actually they are just rewarding a minority of the players. Also, what happens if you need to reroll a character to try out a new build? You will never be able to acquire the best gear. Whats the point of playing a game if the main goal of it is unreachable?

Speaking from experience there. That kind of decision reminds me of what happened with World of Warcraft... I used to play this game a lot on my low level "twinks" (you should know what these are if you play PoE), but patch after patch items were removed from the game, crippling new players gear. It did not affect me since I was getting all the future grandfathered gear before it was removed. Of course it felt great to have an advantage over almost all other players, but one day a patch changed the classes I was playing and made them boring to play. I simply quit the game to end up finding this amazing game... that reminded me of Diablo 2, Path of Exile. AND now they are doing the same mistakes Blizzard made with their game...

That kind of stuff just leads to major account trading and use of real world currency. Again, thats what happened with WoW

Also, to the people saying to create a character in an other league. That does not solve the problem at all. After 3-4 months my character(s) will be confronted to the same issues.


Edit: Legacy Items should only be for aesthetic purposes
