What's happening when Anarchy/Onslaught leagues end?

It's a VIDEO GAME god damnit

yea, sure, and thats why i usually like to play good video games, not bad ones.
Having multiple versions of unbalanced and op uniques certainly makes it more bad than good, right? right.
And is nothing wrong to state this, ggg are not a perfect and unmistaken god, they are ordinary people and make ordinary mistakes. This one is a HUGE mistake.

actually u are the one to not understand , some people (a lot of people) grind really hard to get certain great uniques ,

I dont care about some people and how long and hard are they grinding or not.
This is not the issue.
The issue is having a cancer like this in the game. Balance it right, not like a scared little girl.

Will you be able to Chance base Anarchy/Onslaught items in standard league to obtain the unique variants?

no
Yay! New leagues on release! I hope in the future you guys try 3 month leagues. I feel that 4 months is just a bit too long and my whole map group starts to get bored.

The best for the game long term is to keep the most activ players in the game, meaning not upsetting them by nerfing the reason why they grind for months and months. That's not very hard to get, isnt it ?

That sounds like horrible game design. I really have no sympathy for people who don't care about the health of the overall game.

How could you think that nerfing Kaom/Shav/Lioneyes/Soultaker and so on will not affect the health of the overall game ?
How could you think that it will not affect playtime of activ players ? How could you think that people will still grind for weeks to get a very nice unique if they think that the probability that a nerf occurs is high ?

You talk about game design but at the end, the only good solution is not nerfing any unique.

GGG should take the opportunity with the new content to create new affixe with new content.
Would Shav be still op if we can find rare chest with 1200 ES to do some 70+ A3 area ?
Would Kaom be still op if we can find rare chest with 130 hp and 55 % 3res ?
Would Soul Taker still op if we can find rare weapon with 500 dps ?

That's would be the smartest move in term of game design, making top rare better than unique again. New harder content/area with improved rare gear...

I do not understand the point of these legacy items being able to stay on the server as is... are you just doing that to the onyx amulets to make your season rewards look better or what? From my standpoint it isn't in favor of balance.

P.S. Fuck bullshit legacy fixes. Change em all or leave em the fuck alone man. Why should a few lucky assholes out there make a fortune on their onyx unique that is +4 better... Don't get me wrong still love the game and the company but you guys handle legacy items like slapped ass.

you really have no clue.

best for the game is to have a good game, a fair game, a healthy game.
this way you keep those currently active and maybe more important you attract new players to it, to try it, to have fun with it.

Having multiple versions of unbalanced items is like a cancer. Is not good for the game, is only bad, no matter how you look at it.

and those "active players" that you speak about that cry over this correction are just a small minority anyway. and their cries are 100% subjective, not a little bit objective, because they oppose balancing/correcting the game by keeping their alrealy proven 100% overpowered unique version in the game.

Funny to read "healthy game". A healthy grinding game doesnt have any gear nerf at all. Something is really broken there. I would be glad to read Chris comment on why they need to nerf unique. Releasing unique and nerfing them months later seems to me completely broken. Do they really need months to evaluate how powerfull is Soultaker ?

And the beta arguement could be valid if there were a wipe for the release, but this is not the case.

I do think it will affect the health of the game, in a good way. IMO OP uniques kill diversity and make the game more boring.

I tend to think that people who would leave the game over a nerf weren't going to stick aroudn very long anyway.

Considering that this has been a hot topic for a long time, they should have seen it coming.

The devs apparenlty disagree with you so they should make the fixes the whole way and not by keeping OP legacy uniques in the game.

Wouldn't that be just as much a nerf to those items? I don't know for sure but I don't think GGG is going to introduce rares like that.
