Wasn't saying it will get reduced, it will just receive no benefit with 3 traps over 1.


120% damage when 2 traps overlap. 180% damage if all 3 do...is a benefit. considering AOE nodes that alot of fire trappers use, more than likely they will overlap.

its the same thing as freeze pulse and lmp. with freezing pulse lmp u get 210%. the difference is, FP is only a portion of a circle, traps explode in a full circle. ^^

multi-trap is a ele dmg buff (due to armor) so fire-trap and that lightning trap will benefit more than bear trap (who would have guessed). trap support gem will remain niche: why use it when pre-made traps are so good

Burning patches can overlap all they want, they don't stack. And explosions... well, what's the point of better chance of ignite with multiple traps if it does less damage, you go for one big hit.

It's a dubious benefit if one segment of the skill receives no boost and the other is debatable, you'd be better off with concentrated+chancetoignite+increasedburning, fire pentration or inc area would do much better as a fifth gem then multiple traps.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Comparing diversity to D3 is actually really retarded, no really...
You want to play a game with no OP builds? thats not the same as having diversity. Its called minesweeper....go play it?

Multiple trap looks nice but i'd like to see if there was a player input needed that determines the direction the traps get thrown. Right now it looks like it takes mouse cursor and player position for the orientation but what if i wanted to throw 3 traps all clumped together, from left to right or diagonaly?

A sort of a solution to this would be that every trap thrown follows the cursor. The downside would be that the player would have to move the mouse pretty quickly, if the total trap laying time would stay the same, to get different patterns.

how about splitting the supported trap in 2 skill icons with a symbol which way the traps are thrown ?
