Although I use traps on a lot of my builds it was a clear exploit to me

I'm no fan of traps and even if I have one, I virtually never use it and I never had more than EC gem (I don't like charges, like in "if you have to use charges, your build sucks" :P) I'm quite surprised by such statements as I though that having each gem to have its own cooldown as interesting mechanism. I also never have seen a post from GGG stating so.

It was one of small things which differs GGG skill system from other games. If we remove such small "tasties" what will be left? Only this that one have to drop or buy some skills? Meh.

I believe there is a 3D Shav's skin in the works, it's a coffin.

'taking breaks' was the least relevant point in my post.
Casually casual.

Before, it was explained that having multiples of a trap in order to rotate cooldowns was working as intended, because you're increasing uptime while reducing the number of supports you can use. What changed?

I remember it as being a bug (or at least, unintended feature) that is now fixed, but my memory could be wrong. It wasn't planned to work like that, at the very least.

Seriously? I reserved judgement for the most part with the Blood Magic change, I adapted, all was well. I'm about 90% sure that change will absolutely kill my lv87 HC character. He uses a 6L Searing Touch with 2 Fire Traps and 4 Supports. The reason for this is because a single fire trap is absolutely insufficient to sustain dps moving from pack to pack unless I spend a lot of time just standing around waiting for traps to recharge. What does this "fix" really target? Was I never supposed to be able to use fire traps as a main skill in the end game?

edit: This is also going to change Enduring Cry. Heh.

edit2: Ok, let this be a lesson in remembering to finish reading the patch notes before you begin raging. "The cooldown times of traps (except for Conversion trap and the Trap support gem) have been lowered to four seconds." << This helps. This isn't exactly a one-to-one replacement of the previous system, as you can't have 6 charges saved up for a huge scary pack/boss, but it's good. On the flipside, I've gained a support slot, which is neat.

Guess its time to give another break to the game. =/

This new patch pretty much kills my firetrap build. Honestly, this cooldown thing seems totally unecessary when it comes to traps.. well whatever, GL

I was ok with the aura nerf, it was a bug and needed a fix, but this? Months ago I heard "update" and I was happy. Now it's a bet on which of my characters will you destroy. Having multiple traps for CD doesn't look like a bug, was never called a bug, and seemed legit to build on it. If it wasn't, it was only your fault. I am very upset with this shit. Kill every build, soon there will only be sporkers, you will somehow nerf low life and the game will die. GG GGG.
patches have seemed pretty lame lately, think ill have a break coming up as well, really hoped this game would have me hooked for longer.
Like the changes/improvements for this patch!

Reporting a long break, too. End game grinding is very unrewarding and makes everything just... boring.

edit: LOL this is going to change Enduring Cry too. RIP my defenses in Onslaught.

From OP:
The number of charges produced by Enduring Cry has been increased at all levels.

How does increasing the charges you get kill your defenses?

And to Nasta's comment re: content past level 90:

At the moment, level 81 is the unofficial 'yay you win!', so there isn't supposed to be content past that even. This has been said over and over in various places, so sheesh get over it, roll a new char or come back for 1.0.
