Instantly? dont be daft, it insults my intelligence and that of others who agree. The topic has been on the forums for AGES, a very hot one, and as other people told you and even linked for you, devs stated it TOO. And if they really passed it off as game mechanics, they are lacking some serious common sense and perception.

Not quite my argument. My argument was that other games have it, so we don't know for sure if it's a feature or a exploit here. Read again.

Why do you insist on other games having a bearing on this? /facepalm

Its an exploit. Devs stated it, anyone with a bit of common sense can tell himself 'am i really meant to fetch another helm with the same links sockets and colors' and swap it out after casting auras with this and still keep the same aura stats?'

christ...

Why I insist on other games having a bearing on this? Well. It's pretty simple, really.

You said the following: "You know its a glitch, so dont play the fool."

How do I know it's a glitch? Unless you read all of GGG's posts it's pretty hard to know. Plus, the "glitch" was around before GGG ever said anything. So you can't just look it up real quick. Especially when mechanics like these appear natural to you due to previous game experiences.

Your argument on how to know if it's a glitch is this: "Am i really meant to fetch another helm with the same links sockets and colors' and swap it out after casting auras with this and still keep the same aura stats?"

Maybe? Maybe you are. A lot of games I've played you can do exactly this. And it's a game feature. So why can't it possibly be one in Path of Exile too?

Now we know it isn't, so it's all good? I don't see the issue. I'm just trying to get people to understand why it's not a "obvious" exploit to everyone as people call it. Has nothing to do with anyone's intelligence or any other form of stupidity. It's all just experience. People have different experiences. There's no reason to insult anyone for having used it. It felt normal to some and like an exploit to others.

They nerfed Alpha's Howl change to Level 1 Aura Gems to get lower Gear requirements.

I like that!

They WILL nerf the Raise Spectre mechanic working the same way in near future.
Looking forward to this!

They will NEVER "fix" the Covenant or Malachi Bloodmagic things, as those ARE INTENDET as you have your gems in your equipment all the time and don't change them for lower ones after aura start-up.
Those Uniques are created for this mechanic to work. They wouldn't have created those Uniques in the first place if it were unintended.
I like this as well!

Now please go on whining about things you don't even understand! :D
What about monster golf? Hit it HARD - go find it - Hit it hard again :D

Similar issue with JO/FO and quality of an item.
There were many threads on support forum from players who observed they suddenly lost quality on the item they jewelled or fused and reported it as a bug.
There is no information in the game JO/FO will use up the quality, so unless one should read ALL the patch notes released from the beginning of the game, it's the GGG's task to update the text on JO and FO.

plz show me 1 game where you receive bonuses form items you normally equip (may it be 2nd weapon slot or actual used gear) after you took it off again
its more logical to think of it as a bug/exploit even when it works
not wearing --> no bonus

Not to you and many others, sure. Maybe you're not used to it as a game mechanic. Maybe you just have an entirely different perspective on it. That's fine.

There are however players who are used to this as a normal thing, not as an exploit.

For example, a D2 player could look at: "Am i really meant to fetch another helm with the same links sockets and colors' and swap it out after casting auras with this and still keep the same aura stats?" as "Am I really meant to fetch another weapon with buffs on, buff myself, swap it out after casting the buffs with this and still keep the same buffs?"
