Some 0.11.4 Changes

lol wtf and its "has" not have if ur gonna try tht fuck wit noob.....also abusing game mechanics is one thing.....Letting ggg know by a pm and saying hey look this is wrong is fine but making a vid going hai guyzz heres some exploits plz use them is not...hence why hes banned from all other games tht can make money without him playing or the player base he would bring
hahaha this logic is priceless

so if you see someone with a matchstick in front of a burning house you lock away the matchstick guy and keep the house burning hahahahah made my day

every company who bans an exploiter just shows that their game has flaws and they are unable to fix it which is a really weak move
no u fix the exploit then ban the guy who clearly encouraged it...elsewise Change ur policy on exploits.....cbfd replying to 12 year olds anymore sorry guys cya

I don't understand why you so happy? Probably you spend 1 hour per day for the game and you don't have a good items for builds based on auras and bm? Poor man poor... just facepalm.

Wrong.
I am using 2 auras: Grace and Purity. I don't feel like abusing any broken mechanics. I could use more auras, but why would I? I don't care about Ele damage, so I don't care about those auras, no need for mana reg or ES as well.
Just because you think this item is required for any build (every build uses auras, but that's another problem), it doesn't mean that everyone shares your opinion.
Sorry Exile, but your loot is in another dungeon!

No more mr Aura guy!

So do the ones with inconsistent rules and easily-exploitable loopholes.

Diablo 2 did exceptional for a easily-expoitable loophole game then.

Right, those are dead-useful and usually free. The more people they let know and the more start exploiting the system, the quicker it gets fixed.
Especially in pvp-heavy titles.

Sure did. I wonder how well would the game hold up if it had any real competition, especially with the legendary blizzard-trademarked patching indolence.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

It was never confirmed, nor denied, that using an alpha howl the way we were was a broken mechanic, if there was a dev post before this patch hinting it was unintended, please link it to me. A nerf this sudden giving players who used this mechanic nil time to prepare is a BAD thing.

It is enough that they point it out in exactly this official post. I've read it before too how they explained that fixing the aura "bug/abuse" would take a long time. I certainly don't have the post bookmarked just to prove to someone else that they indeed did state it, lol.

GGG stated that switching out items is not how they want to work auras
since they have created the game, they know how the gamemechanics should work
so all that talk about "its a gamemechanic,it never was broken" is wrong
if you knew about it or not doesnt even matter
it will finally be fixed anyway

It doesnt matter, you knew it was not the normal way of how items work, you know its a glitch, so dont play the fool

Snapshotting isn't a "glitch" and is a game mechanic in a ton of games. So no, we didn't know it was not normal. Generally in ARGPs, especially in a very hardcore level people use everything that gives them a benefit. PoE is considered a pretty hardcore ARPG that would have quirky mechanics like this. Apparently we were wrong. So people get annoyed. A game without funky game mechanics gets boring quickly.

<3 Great point!
Aaron Ciccheli, a guy who made millions running Diablo and PoE RMT sites, owns a significant portion of GGG. How's that for a conflict of interest? 7.5% of your supporter pack money goes to this guy.

Clever use of game mechanics =

Using blood rage as CI to avoid the chaos damage.
Using blood rage as low life to get attack speed bonus.
Using righteous fire as low life to gain the more spell damage bonus.
Using Shavs to make a low life build.
Using puncture+chance to flee.
Flanking titty-b*tches in the middle of their attack animation.
Using flammability + elemental weakness to make Igna Phoenix kill herself with righteous fire.
Using viper strike to kill bosses(such as piety) with ES.

The QQ about Alpha's Howl makes no sense. It was an obvious exploit that needed to be fixed.

This, apart from being true, actually was very helpful. Thanks! ^_^
