This is extremely hard to change this penalty currently when you reach lvl 50+ and go in mercieless this penalty show you your build problems. So don't change it in one shot. Please consider to down by 1% each patch to get the best balance.

I'm skipping reading most of the 34 pages of thread already here but
Seems most people were complaining about builds being walled off from progressing through Merciless and at level 80+ and stuff So do we need to have separate experience loss rates for Cruel and Merciless? I mean Cruel is easy enough to get experience in as is, going from 5% to 8% instead is manageable I'd think. |

As someone with very limited gaming time, I am very, very happy about the XP penalty change. Makes me consider playing this game again.
