{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]
So I'm really wanting to make Curse on Hit work, and I've been adjusting my 6L. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna cut it down to 2 curses simply because O Dont want to spend all the extra passive points or wear doedre's.
What would be the optimal setup for Curse on Hit Arctic Breath? I was using 3 Curses with CoH > Arctic Breath > GMP > 3 curses. Now I'm running CoH > Arctic Breath > GMP > LMP > 2 curses. LMP might be overkill, but I'm not sure what else I'd want to add at this point. It is pretty funny though to walk up and shotgun rares in the face with 7 Arctic Skulls. I thought about toying around with Empower/Enhance, but its not possible to have both and get good chill/curse coverage. Maybe I should try to work the 3rd curse back in anyways. Curse on hit does give a pretty unique bonus though. 10% more curse effect (only way to boost degen damage via Vulnerability). So many support choices :/ |

COH - arc/artic - elepro/gmp - eleweak - vul - enhance?
You'll shock/chill and curse at the same time, enhance and quality COH synergy Necronomicon: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1617098

" Yeah, I'm thinking I should probably drop lmp for enhance like you suggested. You know, I almost wonder if putting arctic on a spell totem and putting arc in the 6L would be more effective. Would Daydus proc off of a totem? (Guessing probably not). Arc would be losing AoE curse coverage if I went with it too. How reliably can you shock rares/bosses? Just trying to think if there is an effective way to chill AND shock, since it would still synergize nicely with EE. Edit: If Spell totems DO apply EE, then they could possibly apply Daydus proc? I can shock rares/bosses if there are adds next to them sometimes I can shock the rare for about 1 second or so, I linked faster cast with arc so even if they get shocked for less than a second it should reapply pretty fast.
I mainly wanted a lightning damage skill that I could fire off from a relatively safe distance and wasn't awkward to use like shock nova is. 20%Q arc gets the job done most of the time. It will prob reliably shock things once I level the gem more for the dmg boost. Necronomicon: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1617098

Tried Arctic Breath on a totem......it sucks :( Being able to pre-emptively cover an entire screen in ground ice is just too good to leave on a totem with limited aggro range.
I'm not sure if a spell totem is gonna be capable of shocking with a 50% damage penalty and me having only a 3 Link to spare for it. Probably not, since EE will be working against it. Maybe Static Blows could help out. Thunderfist is an option too, but thats pretty expensive and the gloves don't have any useful stats at all except for a small amount of evasion and ES. I'd like to see how fast bosses would melt against BM's with Daydus and Shock Stacks though haha. |

the new auras actually make the tough bosses easier nowadays...
I was playing a temple map with +dmg, chain and +life ended up facetanking piety. now I could do it because of evangelists shield (true saviors), saffels and new purity of lightning aura giving me a total of 85 max resist before Id even topaz pot.. BUT 3 "BIG" zombies ended up surviving the fight, which never really happened before. so by using both purity and purity of x element you definitely overcap your minions resists and once you get them over max they can actually take a few hits from piety without falling apart like crap. it could be that these zombies were standing in bubbles and piety doesnt really have a melee attack and runs away to cast lightning ball. but I dont know, I definitely thought minions felt much tankier than before. these new auras make the minion resists support pretty much obsolete. |

If only they made reservations on thses 3 auras a bit less. 30% would have been much better, as now you absolutely have to decide on one aura.

" One thing to consider then is "Elemental resistance with shields". There are two nodes near the aura group top left, 3 passive point investment for +20 all resists. They grant +10% all resists simply for holding a shield, that still counts for you if you take aegis. *edit* its 3 passive points, not 4. Last edited by Asmosis#7365 on Nov 17, 2013, 2:15:43 PM

" 4 really strong nodes. Tried the 30%+ to energy shield on shield, those nodes suck as they only gives me flat 100es per node from a 360es shield |

" FA shortens the interval between their attack cycles. |
