Does Necromatic Aegis work like other snapshot mechanics? If so, it seems pretty useless since 40% more life from chober chaber will be more than 100 HP.

If it doesn't though this could be a nice way to squeeze out more damage, but for me that would mean losing out on 3 auras :/

I actually just researched this, necro aegis is not a snapshot mechanic. Your minions get the stats from your shield in real time. Saffell's Frame would also be a smart choice, my minions tend to get wiped out from high damage elemental mobs/bosses moreso than phys mobs (though the evangelists are a close second).

B/c Its like 40exalted and I don't have one =D. I still prefer my wand for AA. Shock stacking is pretty consistent with 20% Q shock nova or arc. (I just want a lightning damage move that can safely apply EE from some distance which is why arc is a bit better than shock nova for me, shock is an added bonus) Elemental weakness -> vulnerability -> EE = Mobs dead even in a 3-man party in 72+ maps in 5 seconds for less.

Did you try conc effect with Shock Nova? Should shrink the dead zone as well as making shock stacking a bit easier.

Edit: Also, if you are shock stacking, why haven't you grabbed static blows? It's 1 point (2 points if you grab the extra 10% increase chance node). Seems like it would make your stacking much smoother. Another slight think about the passive tree, are you overcapped on resist with your gear? If you are, you can trade those 2 points you spend to grab

I was thinking about that but shock nova is already 30%/60%duration. Static blows sounds like over kill. I kind of like that 24%armor am getting, i'll prob drop that eventually for more life. Need a bit more AR on gear to over cap.

Build i use with 2600life 3700es and +25chaos ressist. Using 1BM 2Sentinels with curling/rarety. I think this build will be safer vs life/manashield with really good gear

Running Purity Vitality Dicipline Grace but i only have 77mana left so gotta use blood magic on arc/curses rejuv totem etc.

I still think the safest build would be a hybrid block build. However, I do prefer EB as it lets me easily run artic armor(this skill is op). The other reason I prefer full life is the instant animation life flasks. Your forgetting 15 charges of instant life pretty much gives me a lot of effective life. 509 instant with my flask nodes * 15 = 7644 effective life. As long as I don't get one shotted am fine which i prevent with a large life pool and various forms of mitigation.

Am still not a fan of the necro aegis. Who cares if a zombie dies just raise another, those stats on the shield might save my character from death.

So far the 2 map bosses I have trouble with are temple piety and residence dominus. Freaken lightning AOE lol. ITs always lightning AOE that I can't do. YOur minions get shock stacked and its GG.

BM do not stack. Summoning more than one is useful b/c it covers a bigger area and it increases the chance of at least one activating. I actually dropped my +1 spectre node all you need is 2 BM's to rape things with. If you really want that extra spectre arc mages or evangelist will be the better choices.

Minion cannot activate elemental equilibrium. So when u hit mobs with lightning it will -50% fire and cold making your BM's and hatred buffed zombies do even more damage on top of that arc with Elepro will shock stack targets. Its perfect synergy in one move.

Are you not playing on standard? I got mine last night for 12 EX. It seems to be going down in price so I'm sure it'll be less than that before too long.

I think we were more talking about squeezing extra damage or survivability from BMs. Zombies obviously don't need much more help with their natural resists and the new auras (which in reality is a buff for minion survivability), and their far more easily replaced as you said. I haven't maxed out my purity of lightning yet, but I can see Saffell's Frame going a LONG ways towards allowing a spectre to live. I'm guessing that Purity of lightning will hit +4 max resist with a +2 helm, so that is 82 Max Lightning resist there after aura passives. Throw in Saffell's Frame for 5 more capping a Spectre at 87 Max Lightning Resist. Now, I'm not 100% sure if minions gain the block from the shield, but if they do, that is 31.2% Spell Block with a perfect Saffell's Frame.

Minions will receive the block chance. Saffels frame could be the answer to temple piety and residence dominus. Unfortunately my items won't allow me to cap and overcap my resistances without a shield. I should really start looking for better gear xD.

12Ex is not that bad. I do prefer my arcing setup. You would have to chill with artic breath to apply the increased burn safety. I think the more damage with shock charges will be the much cheaper alternative. I would like to try it but am currently saving up currency for my next character =/.

I know for sure their move is attack based. So faster attacks should work on them. Faster projectiles will make their attacks further range.
