I'm running a similar build as scion.
At the end i will have 12% less max hp.


My impression:

At the begining using spectral throw with staffs is a cheap and effective way to level
Alternatively crude bow.

Mid level i switched to a 1-h weapon (life on hit) + shield.
minion instability with skelleton +spell totem was a huge damage boost.

Around level 60 i didn't need spectral throw.
At the moment i'm using EK + culling + item rarity instead of Arch.
Ethereal knife is more consistent in applying culling strike and it benefit from hatred and life/mana leech.


The best advice that i can give you is to level in the Dread ticket.
The mobs don't deal elemental damage.
So you can focus on damage gems and sustain your minions with Rejuvenation Totem and/or warlord mark.

The 2nd advice is to buy a tabula rasa. I was skeptical. But it was really a great boost.
Plus you will learn a lot by mixing gem without wasting chromatic orbs.

Yeah I have a lot of trouble with these too in maps. A pack of them will obliterate your army. The aura is designed to be avoided as it takes a while to hit. The way to effectively dispose of them without losing minions is to bum rush them. I lightning warp right on top of them and my army will surround and kill them. You can also use them against each other. Raise one with increased duration and you can position yourself to cover your army as you progress.

I feel like the new mobs/bosses are just over tweaked and minions remained the same so the end result is minions currently are not tanky enough for the new content(even if you threw every single defensive node/buff on them).

If all else fails you have infinite minions, keep summoning and you'll be able to push through.

Increasing the agro range of zombies would be a bad idea. In closed beta their agro range was centered on themselves rather than the player, you'd summon them and that was the last you'd see of them till you changed maps or resummoned some.

zombies and minions will focus on where your holding a mouse button, it doesn't really matter whats attached to it. they could do with maybe a bit bigger agro radius, but the current one is good for keeping them inside your auras.
oh yeah the good old closed beta days where u can summon as many zombies as you want since each level of the zombie gem counted as their own group of zombies. And most of them will run off and kill stuff in the entire map for you lol.

I have a question. When i rise my BM's if i remove incr Aoe and burning dmg will the current BM's will change ??
The way minions currently work. They are static. They acquire all the stats that they are raised with and nothing you can do can change them. Even removing supports or items will not affect the minions you have currently summoned. (which is why people walking around with sidhe or queens or midnight(unless wanting the +minions is a complete waste)

My end game gear will be smth like:
Shield (Prism Guardian)- Reduce mana, Vitality, Grace. (2red, 1green)
Helm (Alpha Howl)- Reduce mana, Purity, Determination, Hatred\Haste\Clarity (2red, 1blue, X)
Boots (Bones of Ullr)- Rise Spectre, Minion life, Incr Burning dmg, Incr AOE. (3Blue, 1Red)
Gloves- Reduce mana\ Incr AoE\Faster cast, Vulnurability, Enfeeble, Warlod mark\Ele weakness\Temp Chain. (X, 2Blue, X)
Weapon 2 Trees: A- Shock nova, Incr AoE, Ele prolification\Faster casting (3 Blue). B- Arc, Faster casting\Chain, Ele prolification (2Blue, X)
Chest – Zombie, Skeleton, Multistrike, Melee splash, faster atk, minion life.
When i summon zombies ill swap skeletons with remote mine. Ill summon skele by hand 2-4-6 just like that.
When i need to swarm a boss or rogue exile ill change melee splash (obviosly for one target i dont need splash) with spell totem and ill swarm with skele if some of my zombies dies ill put one zombie totem that will resummon it then skelea again.My question was will it be possible to switch that incr AoE and incr Burn dmg for reju totem and light warp\portal, cos when i get my spectre i guess that i need just the rise spectre gem somewhere in the ger to just keep them.

Edit: That minion life gem in the chest can be exchange with smth else but i must think about it. Looking for suggestions.
