{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]

Should I put any gems in my animate guardian gear?
FIRST!
So, with Spectres becoming persistent soon, are Frost Sentinels the way to go? I know they are hard to get but that problem would be solved with only having to get them once, and not everytime we start a session.

Or are Solar Guards better for clearing maps?

Also, you have listed 4 very different trees, but not one word on the pros and cons of the trees and which one you prefer.

That is a good idea thanks. Had not played poe in a while but i believe the dodge version is good overall with access to phasing through mobs.

The life regen has a higher ehp pool and deals with dots better but it gets shutdown hard by the common no life or lesser life regen map mods.

The expensive version is that, expensive since it stacks jewels that are worth 2x each.

I forget what the other version did lol.

Solar guard is easier to maintain but now that specter persistence is in I would say Frost sentinels is king now.

Also looking to jump on the bandwagon. I've wanted to play spectres for years, but the lack of persistence has always driven me away.

A few questions:

1) For all who have played both, how does spectre clear speed feel compared to golems? I'm talking about spectres built to clear, not Tukohama Vanguards, which look terrible for clearing (although clearly OP for bossing).

2) Frost Sentinels over Solar Guards now, you say? That's interesting. Is it mostly for the safety that their freezing gives you? How do they stand up to tougher bosses?

3) Are any of the good "clear speed" spectres also good for the harder bosses, WITHOUT changing socket colors?

4) I notice that no Solar Guards setups seem to use pierce for clearing. Why is that?

Thanks!

1. I find spectre to clear faster then golems. Only the spell projectile ones.

2. Frosties has always been better, and now with spectre persistency they are much easier to maintain

3. you don't have to change socket colors. Not sure where you got that idea. Its to min max. Solar guards/frost/flame sentinels should be able to clear anything just slower then a dedicated single target spectre.

4. Why not try it for yourself? I feel like a large part of the game is all about personal feel. I tried Pierce but i found that I prefer iAOE so i have a blue slot to switch into a 50% more mult.

@OP: So I knew that getting T14+ Forst Sentinels was hard. But now I found some reddit posts where everybody agreed that they are missing from the descecrate pool.

If that is true, is our only chance to get them to run T14-16 maps with the "Area is inhabited by Lunaris fanatics" mod and hope to find some Frost Sentinels as enemies?
I am a bit confused about the "persistence". Will it follow the same method as AG gem, namely it is stored in the gem itself and we can freely take the gem out and slap it in later for our spectres? I guess it is very unlikely considering GGG's stance so far on this matter.

So do you think it's more likely just a stored information on session and we still need to re-raise the spectres if we take out the gem (or accidentally unequip the gem due to loss of stat requirements)?
There is so many gems for different situations that I got really confused xD

I just really would like to know, which socket colors my 6l vis mortis suppose to have to switch gems for frost sentinel and/or solar guard in order to clear t14-t15 and occasionally kill guardians and shaper?

Thanks

Well, it is not like the colours will be difficult to get.

T14-15 Solar Guards clearing:

RS + Minion Damage + Spell Echo + GMP + Faster Proj + elemental focus

4b2g

Single Target/Bossing with Cannibal Fire-Eaters:

RS + Minion Damage + Spell Echo + Elemental focus + Controlled Destruction + slower Proj/pierce

5b1g

Switching between the two colors should be only a handful of chromatics.
