Okay looks like Primaeva pretty much answered your question. But yes you'll want to precast your golem. Or if you find that too annoying since your still running a crystal belt you don't really need purity of elements you can turn that off for now and have some mana left over to cast. The 2% golem regen jewels are very helpful for their sustain.

1) What's the Overflowing Chalice's task in a single-target boss fight, since charges won't be gained?
2) Would a +x to +x lightning damage on spells burst harder than a 10% lightning pen, considering my spectres are doing fire damage and the shock is auto-applied? (it's actually cheaper on POE right now, the +flat flask, weird I know.)
3) I am bad with the projectile mechanics - can multiple fireballs from a single flame sentinel cast hit one target? (Hoping the answer is yes, or Dying Sun would add nothing to the build and our damage gets capped.)

1. Overflowing Chalice with the witch flask nodes is 52% general damage. factoring in double dipping thats 104% increased damage. Quite a lot.
2. Yes it would be more damage. I bought pen for the longest time since it was the cheapest in most leagues.
3. In a certain scenario fireballs will overlap and deal overlapping damage. The AOE needs to be large enough and either the fireballs slam against a wall and the overlap hits 1 target or the fireballs slam into a pack of mobs and the AOE will overlap on everything hit. You'll want to not use projectile weakness for this to happen more often as piercing projectiles don't explode until they hit.

This might be a silly question, and you might not know the answer, but if you take elementalist witch class, does the golem "bonus to elemental golems" apply to chaos/clay golems or only fire/lightning/cold golems?

The bonus only applies to elemental golems. fire/lightning/cold golems.

Idk what to tell you my friend. I was running maps yesterday night and ran into a whole bunch of these types of mobs. When you see packs of ghosts or that demon do you see any blade vortex going around them. You can hold down 'a' and look at their names. Should be slashed miscreation or spectral scoundrel.

I have yet to see any mobs with BV. I tried to spawn them with des, doesn't work.

what maps are you going into? ive tried every thing listed in your book thing and i tried every map on the google doc sheet

does summoner builds work for end game bosses by any chance? i played a summoner in the past and it was a ton of fun except i already seem to struggle vs bosses if they killed my spectrals.

Ok try this.

Go to factory map (t2) and start spamming desecrate on the map. They should be there. I wonder if your just desecrating once and stopping?

If you roll a demon modded map. They will spawn in any map for sure. Just keep spamming desecrate. Hover over their bodies and look for slashed miscreations.

I'll be on at 6pm us eastern time. If I see a slashed or scoundrel I can let you know. The ign of the character I am playing this week is Z_PoisonStorm. Just add me and if I spot one I can whisper you.

Classic Summoner builds has taken down Shaper and all guardians. This is also my goal for the build this league taking down shaper and the 4 guardians and all breach lords. After they introduced the soul weaver ascendancy node spectre are extremely tanky more than zombies.

i went to factory and spammed des about 146 times. still not slashed. this is the 8th factory map today ive tried this on.

i get TONS of tentical mobs.

Playing Spectre summoner gets frustrating at times you need the patience of a saint. It took me a long time to find these monsters called ruined titans that does earth quake only to find out that they suck.

LOL Spectors need some QOL improvements.

These tentical mobs with GMP + chain. Holy god. the clear speed is crazy

am i the only one having issues getting these BV mobs?

yeah zombies have kind of gotten screwed in the current summoner meta.

specters can be summoned up to ilevel 84 while enjoying 5 damage supports
zombies can only get up to ilevel 82 (gem level 26) and must sacrifice a gem socket to empower to do so

spectres also get the rather amazing 100%life/ damage node.. the best zombies get is some physical reduction which amounts to a pittence

spectres can be ranged which means its much easier to keep them out of shaper vortexes .. phoenix fire explosions , minotaur rock rain etc

zombies have to melee and hope they can live

finally zombies have to give up a slot for an aoe mechanic .. spectres dont

and i doubt i need to mention how inferor non crit damage gem options are to range/spell options


frankly i wonder if they are even needed once you have found your spectres... you save an awful lot of gem space by not needing to dick around with a 4l zombie setup that just instantly dies to guardian or shaper aoe.
