More updates to the build.
I will try to flesh out my explanation section a bit more as I gain more experience while tweaking my build.

Again, if you have any questions regarding summoner or the game in general u can post in this thread and I will answer as soon as I get the chance. I been playing summoner for the last 2 yrs and have seen all the changes and progression and played pretty much any variation of the summoner builds.

I would say this thread has been the hub of summoner theorycrafting for the longest time =). I welcome everyone's unique and interesting ideas.

What do you think of my setup to freeze literally whole screen (and depending on the layout, screens away)?


Projectile Weakness grants over 100% chance to pierce. I run zombies on my 5L Dying Breath (hopefully 6L soon). (Not sure how optimal this is compared to a +gemlvl helmet, though)

Shit this is super interesting. Its basically a blanket of crazy slows. Good job sir.

I would even goes as far as stacking another Dying breath on your animate(if you're not doing this already) I think your setup does 100% atk, cast, move stops on normal mobs and you basically trivialize any boss in the game I believe.

I would actually 6L revenants and 4L zombies.

No wait. 100% pierce chance is really bad with revenants. Chain is actually a huge increase to their clear speed. If you pierce 100% they can't chain anymore.

I think you should think of another spectre to use with that kind of setup. Flame sentinels maybe. Knitted horrors... actually u won't be able to take advantage of movement bleeds if mobs literally can't even move. Maybe even tentacle miscreations.

Yes, I stop everything from moving or attacking except for act and map bosses, obviously. For those, I can replace GMP with Empower most of the time to get a very slight boost to the slow, barely noticeable but it might save my butt one day... :)

flame sentinel + echo + hypothermia + minion damage + fire pen + slower proj

tentacles + phy proj atk + hypothermia + minion damage + lmp/gmp + slower proj

dat. more dmg stacking will be op.

Matt, have you thought much about bow summoners? I got to thinking you could stack a CRAZY amount of "more" damage modifiers on zombies.

Ideal weapon would be a Tora's bow using iceshot (provides bleeding + chilled ground).

Zombie Links

Zombie > bloodlust > hypothermia > minion damage > melee physical + X gem (multi-strike, added fire, melee splash, etc).

That's a whopping 4 MORE modifier damage gems linked to zombies.

Grand Total of "more" damage: 59 + 39 + 49 + 49 = 196% "more" damage.

You can even add a COH setup to the bow to further maximize the damage. Something like Ice shot > GMP > Pierce > CoH > Curse1 > Curse2.

Been an idea I've been wanting to try for a bit.

Edit: This can even be worked into your slow build, using one of the curse slots for temp chains, since Ice Shot should provide plenty of ground ice with a good amount of pierce.

Been awhile since I did minion damage math, my apologies.

Either way, that should stack up to be some pretty impressive zombie damage, no?
