Yes seems like you had better avoid some of those hard exiles and bosses. If possible.
Ash Lessard kills my minions too no matter what. Even with enfeeble + temp chains + bone offering he wiped half my army.

Might be best to go full offensive with vulnerability/ele weakness and flesh offering.

Let me know how that block idea turns out.

that chober is worthless. it is only 6% increased life over your decree but that also has some damage. also trying to level a 0quality zombie gem to 20 is a total waste you cant vendor recipe a 20% quality or use gcp on it. my personal opinion should have at least level 18 zombie gem before you farm her. also I think you should use vaal summon skeleton its great for those burst periods. When i use vaal summon skeleton farming vaal i get him to 10% in his first phase and kill him 2 seconds after he pops back up. without it takes a minute or 2.

Doing a low life version, has the benefit of being able to use more auras and panicked prefix on flasks

So, there is some wild misconception about the price of this build. I added a section called

"Gear and price estimation"

As you can see to reach end game viability you only need about 3ish ex in gear for tabula and Cloak.

and if you want to go over the top and give your minions more stats you can then spend a bit more maybe like 20ex more (where 15 of those ex is purely for Grasp, really expensive item). The rest of those 5 ex will go into various rares, other snapshot uniques, ect.

After that initial spending you can try to maximize even more which is what am currently trying to do which is going for that 21/20 zombie gem, +1 to all gem tabula rasa, 21/20 all relevant support and skill gems , lvl 4 empower, corrupt gear for minion damage implicit.

EDIT: Breaking down necro aegis
- The loss of a shield for yourself is quite noticeable, but it's not a problem as long as you play carefully and utilize evangelist + smoke mine well.

- My zombies can tank every boss with no issue. I survived double boss crema with no loss. My zombies used to die like flies there.

Shield choice:
For general purpose, crest of perandus is the best shield, 50% block with 3% life leech basically means that your minions are immune to attacks. I am not kidding, melee bosses are a joke.

For bosses that do elemental spell damage, Saffell's frame + bone offering will solve all your problems. People who said rathpith's globe is better is flat out wrong. the +5% all ele resist is insane, and the ability to block attack doesn't compensate for that. We are using it as a off hand switch against certain situation anyway.

I will try a double shrine piety run later. May post a video if I get the chance.

On that note, it might be more beneficial to get mf gears like divination distillate and andvarius before Grasp. Not that I regret buying it, but getting the mf gears first is probably a wiser decision

I am farming Piety with level 16 Zombie gem and 2 Sentinels without troubles.
Dominus wiped my zombies but Specters where enough to finish him.
At the moment it's not worth the effort.

I will retry him when my RZ hit level 18 with evangelist.

try vaal skeleton, they will finish off dom 1, and dom 2 is very easy.
