{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]

A few questions for the original poster...

Why are you using Added Physical Damage gem instead of minion damage gem for your zombies? From what I can see, the minion damage gem has a higher percentage, what am I missing?

Why are you using remote mine over increased burning damage? Again, the percentage for increased burning is higher than the percentage for the remote mine plus remote mines are a pain in the ass to use for getting corpses. Why not use increased burning damage and cut mines out?

Finally, have you found any trick to dealing with high level storm heralds in Nemesis or do they just wreck your minion hordes like they do mine?

Thanks!

Melee Phys and Remote Mine are both 'more' modifiers (multiplicative) while Minion Damage and IBD are 'increased' modifiers (additive).

Animate Guardian might just be worth 2 gem slots now this patch :D

New unique staff shows promise, even though it will make him take 18% more damage. He should still be able to block, and with bone offering, you can probably reach the same, if not more, block rate that he had before with Crest of Perandus.

Now our little aura bot will be providing......

33% Increased Damage for all allies
18% Increased Curse effect on nearby enemies (the way it is worded defiantly makes it sound like an aura effect, therefore not requiring the wielder to be the one casting the curses)
5% Life Regen Buff

If your willing to sacrifice stats, you can probably stack this the same way Leer Cast stacks, which means in theory if you used both uniques you'd be providing 66% Increased Damage and 36% Increased Curse Effect. Things could get ridiculous pretty quickly in parties.

My point exactly...they called it a powerfull tool for solo summoner though, which makes me question if they have any experience with playing the game at all. Two-hander for a suumoner, and why wuld anyone use it? It's another gimmicky unique that's only place is on a gimmicky skill that is AG. No matter how good the damage buffs, who would sacrifice survavalability?
Maybe an aura-bot build? Well no, allies take increased damage with it, so pretty much even putting it on AG will make you and all other minons take more damage. And noone will take you in a party with it.
Ih has promice, and nothing more, teh drawback is nonsensical.

OMG... did I see it right or... was it just bad luck... that desecrate only produces corpses of enemies native to that area...?

Yeah I posted this before re-listening to the video. The item states something completely different from what Chris said. If it works AS the item says, then its a freakin awesome new tool for AG.

If it DOES make allies take more damage as Chris said, then its only place is as a griefing tool. Weapon switching into it + an AG with it for 36% increased damage taken by party members anyone?

Seriously hope they realize that allowing people to debuff allies is a horrible idea.

To clarify, the staff increases damage dealt by nearby allies, not taken.

Now to find 2 slots in my gear for AG + Minion Life.

Leer Cast
Dying Breath
Zahndethus' Cassock
Any Life Boots + Gloves

Buffs that AG now provides:

15% Increased Damage (Leer Cast)
18% Increased Damage (Dying Breath)
18% Increased Curse Effectiveness (Dying Breath)
5% Life Regen (Zahndethus' Cassock)

Bone Offering should give you the same block if not more as before. Him taking 18% increased damage could be problematic though. Good Life Boots and Gloves could help deal with it and the New Bone Offering giving spell block.

Can't wait to test this out :D

Im glad theyre adding summon/necro skills into the game, but to be honest, this preview wasnt very impressive. maybe incr duration+area will help for block bonus and desecrated could be useful with detonate dead and getting minions for bosses....but pretty underwhelming stuff so far.

the staff...is tailor made for AG and seems like an awful unique to self wield (if we goin 2H, might as well get queens decree ffs, 1.3 more damage from extra spectre)

I guess then it's all depends on how/and if they buff AG in the patch.

And yes, so far it's all really underwhelming. All buffs come with a condition and additional annoyance (got knows we don't have enough).
