Obviously it all comes down to gem levels. Not only minion, but auras and curses as well.

My minion gems are mostly lvl 19 or 20 or 20/20. I use Vulnerability as a curse and have 3 instant flasks. Should I switch to Temporal Chains or some other curse? Does CoD also increase the aura damage of BMs?

I'd say it's the flasks. The more instant (preferably seething) flasks you have, the more effective life your minions have. Bubbling are worse in my opinion for summoner, as the overtime part doesn't stack, so you essentially wasting half of the heal from them when trying to heal up burst, and dominus has some serious burst in first form.

And yes, defensive curses are better on bosses. When I farmed dominus extensively I used temporal chains + enfeeble + vulnerability/ele weakness. Right now I don't farm him at all, too low fps, to long to reach him, piety is much better and I don't need anything except temporal chains, most of the time I don't even get to use flasks.

Ok, just did a quick Piety run with COD+Montreguls zombies. The difference was amazing. I'll sort the flasks and after that, Dominus might not be such a challenge.

I didn't use any spectres until I got BMs in cruel (gem lvl 11-12) and they started to suffer in late act 2 merciless. Once I got to Lunaris in Merciless I used spectres all the time (gem lvl 14-15).

i want to ask you guys your opinion.

i was actually farming atm for a 6 link (for the eventual snapshoting fix, wich can come this march(?), as chris said that we could expect many changes, and that he said they were planing on making minions perma a while ago) but, yesterday i checked my stats with a tabula rasa (don't know why i didnt before) i only lose about 300 hp and 1k armor leaving me with 5.3k life and 10k armor. so, do you guys think that i should actually buy a mediocre 6 link, or use the tabula? i wouldn't have to worry about socket colors, and could aim for a "real" GG 6 link for endgame instead of a random 6link becouse i will need 1

I was wondering how good people thought sidhebreath was for this build? I understand only having the cold res makes it kinda weak but do you guys think it is viable for a summoner build. Does it work for snapshotting possibly?
