First, thank you for having taking the time too make a guide like this, what you have done its a awesome work! You have made me, a total newbie, became a somehow not that bad player with a class I loved since my "Lagmancer", diablo 2 times :)

Now, a little more in detail... I wanted too ask some specif questions:

About the passives:

1º When I was going too the right area of my passives, on my way too Sovereignty, I got the near by passives for minion damage + grave expectations. I wanted too ask why you aren't planning in getting thoses if you build ever gets too 120 passive points total...? Is there any reason?

2º Too the left of the witch starting point, I see you are planning in getting "buff effect" and "inner force". My question is, are they really that good? Any special reason why you get them? The same question can be asked about Elemental Equilibrium: In a summuner build like you have there, is that passive really good? I am totally failing too see why you would want that, can you explain that passive choose in more detail?

3º This one is not really a question, I would just like that people here (which are probably more knowledge than me) take a look at how I have my passive skill tree and give me any inputs if anything seems out of the place.

About the items, I will not ask anything yet, since I am not rich and I dont really have any great items atm... I may post later some questions about items, when I get some more wealth.

Thz in advance, keep up the good work.

Obviously not my guide, but I'll save Matt a little time here answering these questions. I'm sure he'll elaborate if I miss anything.

1) Maximizing the total number of zombies eventually becomes gratuitous, because Cast on Death summoned zombies do massive damage. There isn't really a difference between having 6 and having 7 or 8. I think Matt specifically dropped the Grave Expectations node after he started using CoD zombies, dropping him down to 6 total.

2) When you're running 5+ auras, the +effect nodes like "buff effect" and "inner force" become a pretty efficient use of 3 points. I'll just use the Grace aura as an example. At level 20 the aura grants 2016 evasion. The 3 points invested give 1.21*2016=2439.36 or an added 423.36 evasion. Combine that with 94% increased evasion on the way to Sentinel and Iron Reflexes and those 3 points translate to ~821 armor. That's just for ONE of the many auras builds like this run, you can calculate the total stats you're getting from those 3 points depending on the auras you choose for your build.

Elemental equilibrium is an amazing keystone because if you use, for example, Arc (lightning) to apply the fire/cold resistance debuff, it is a big dps increase for both your BM's Unrighteous Fire and for the Hatred aura cold damage on your zombies' attacks. Additionally, getting mobs into negative resistances with the Flammability and Elemental Weakness curses and Elemental Equilibrium is a ridiculous amount of damage coming from your BM's aura.

3) I'll leave this to other folks, but the more you play the build and get a feel for where you damage/survivability come from the more you'll understand where points should and shouldn't go.
Wow, BMs now do not extinguish when you enter separate boss room. I can kill Jungle valley boss pretty easy. And farm Piety.
hey is it worth it to quality my raise spec gem as its about to hit 20 or should i just leave it at 20?

Great explanation thanks from someone else that was wondering the same thing.
As much as I think that the CoD mechanic is the coolest thing ever, and whoever thought of it deserves the finest virtual beer, how long before GGG nerfs it ?

It's going to happen.

The question is how to tweak the build so that the nerf doesn't cause you to have to do a massive respec.

It seems to me that the build is, in fact, fairly resistant to such a nerf.

However I think you would need to start taking back a lot of the minion damage nodes which could prove for some interesting trade-offs.

The biggest downside, would be investing all that Currency on a 20q CoD, only to have it be nerfed for the only build that found it viable..

You can always use Remote Mine instead of Cast on Death, though it's a fraction of what CoD does.

Are Evangelists better than Burning Miscreations? You get an anti-range bubble, and they do a physical variant of Storm Call. Looks pretty good.

Nothing is better than a BM, well except CoD + Grasp zombies.

Evangelists don't look that bad to me...

Strangely I tried to use remote mine to raise the spectres and did not see the modifier listed on the description. Maybe doesn't work with spectres ?

Also- BM are pretty damn good although when I take on piety I lose them immediately. Saying that the bubble creatures are the same or better is high praise indeed.

I'll have to try them tonight :-) That's if I can survive SoG long enough to collect 2.
Unfortunately my summoner build was very far along before I discovered this wonderful build.
Here's the current build.

So I have a stack of regrets (about 8) and I'm level 72.

I have some important decisions to make about how to spend those increasingly valuable regrets...

My thinking is that I can't take EB until I have IR. Giving up my ES fore EB before I get the armor boost would make me exceedingly squishy. Also, I really need to be running more auras. However that seems impractical without EB.

So it seems to me that my strategy is to:

Keep leveling, of course, get IR as soon as I can, and _then_ establish EB and take the rest of the aura reduction nodes. What I should give up to do that is a bit tricky too, but it looks like ES nodes and some of the summoning nodes are probably what need to go.

I was hoping some kind person could advise.

Thank you.
I would take EB when you reached manashield. I feel like its one of those op combos like vaal pact with ghost reaver.

I would just like to add that Inner force not only buffs auras but arctic armor, molten shell, and flasks(granite and such).

--------------------------

To match CoD zombie kill speed you need something that can atk and move just as fast. Nothing better than constant degen damage I find evangelist lacking unless its specifically for killing certain map bosses.

I believe it only gives move speed so its quite useless.

don't know if you guys have figured out a way, but I did today on getting CoD with both my Zombies and my BM's. All I have to say is that ...WOW. I almost feel bad for the mobs in the game. They just melt.

EDIT: I LOVE THIS SPEC!!!! Just one shotted Piety in under 15 seconds. Havent been able to do that. Thanks to everyone in the post.
