There are 2 Ways
NO ITEM REQUIRED FOR THIS
First and i think the faster way is Freezing Pulse/Fireball Kombo until lvl 25 than u can start to spectre the Big Fire Bugs at "sarn slums" act 3 with the Projectile from ur Fireball / FP (lvld the third summoner in no time)

why is it beneficial to have a +2minion helm if the snapshotting is done in the chestpiece??
the summon zombie and spectre gem will end up in the chest, isnt it?

The +2 helm is from when we summoned zombies from the helmet, but people have discovered the cast on death gem and have decided that using a chest piece is more worthwhile than the +2 gems from helmet. You can still use the +2 gems on helmet if you want tankier zombies.

You kill yourself in normal so you don't lose xp. That is why we don't use CoD for burning miscreations so we don't lose xp. They said the plan on adding persistent minions that stay when you log out, in which case CoD miscreations would be viable.

I am curious as to whether going all the way down to get MoM is worth the investment with only 300ish mana unreserved. It seems like it might make more since to just get the life wheel near the sion? And or could a Cloak of Defiance be worth while? Is the armor from IR all that good?

Its something I constantly ponder about when I look at my build. Lets say you take 1000 damage. 30% of that would be 300 damage. You just effectively absorbed 300 damage to your mana and took 700 to your life. I feel like its like having another arctic armor.

I would say maybe but not really to the Defiance cloak. It doesn't provide any flat life or any resist or good armor/es amounts.

About IR. Am pretty sure you have to have way better armor gear to get remotely the same amount of armor. IR with grace + aura nodes is the equivalent of 4 end game chest pieces. Its a lot of armor.

Go to Normal. No EXP loss. i've been doing this and I'm level 80. No exp drop yet.

EDIT:

I don't plan on 6L shapshotting my zombies. I prefer going a more defensive style. This laptop's FPS drops don't allow for anything else. :P

Now to level it up.

I've done it. I've finally broke Animate Guardian.

Lightbane Raiment + Cast on Death + Concentrated Effect + Leer Castx2

Flat 5% of MOB health drain.

(4.04 * 1.69) + (.15 + .15)

6.8726 + .30 = 7.1726 * 5 = 35.863% mob life/sec

Killed Hillock in under 3 secs on Merc with this setup.

i made a somehow similar build. focusing on IIR/IIQ. i took the following differences,

1) instead of tabula for snapshot, i took BOR. giving my zombs a 7L. faster attk + melee dam + blind + COD + meleesplash + multistrike + RZ.
2) arc + culling + IIR + IIQ. to proc EE + MF gems
3) brightbeak war hammer. for +30 (max) fire & lightning resists.
4) necromantic aegis. with daresso's courage, i will be giving 20 (max) elemental resists to my minions. extra armour & evasion for them. and..+20% physical dam for my zombies.
5) using blood magic for my curses
