" If it something that people have a realistic chance of finding one or two with a high level character and lots of time, then I think it will help those sorts of players quite a bit. If you have a nice item with decent links, you can safely try out the one or two exalts or the divine you have saved up. If it is too difficult to find, then most players will wait a lot longer before using their fusings/divines/exalteds and it will have the opposite effect on crafting then is intended. If it drops as often as a GCP, then people won't be afraid to use their exalteds and burn through a hundred or so fusings* on a key item that their character is using because they won't gimp their character. With a reasonable drop rate, players can try to craft a great item, fail and continue on playing so they can save up and try again. If too rare a drop rate, it will just turn into another high level currency that doesn't get used. *as opposed to trying to save up several hundred or a thousand fusings to make a six link attempt now. " If memory serves from past passive resets- Regret orbs will be in very high demand after the passive reset as a lot of players with currency will try some radical changes to their character and then decide they need to undo about a dozen or two dozen of those changes. Any word on The Magnate belt and how it will be changed? Should we keep ours, sell them or what?

I like this patch, lots of new features.
But i'm worried about the rebalancing. It looks like a general monsters nerf for me. It would be interesting to add a new implicite value on swords, masses or axes (melee weapons) like 20% physical reductions damage, same thing for shields. With that, only melee characters are improved. I say that because with my witch, monsters will do less damages and with the node Savant, i will do 20% increased spell damage. It will be more easy for me or for all non melee characters. I hope, i'm wrong but i wanted to expose my point of view :) |

I just fail to see which would be the so called "direct melee buffs". Apart from new leagues I was the most enthusiastic about the announced changes to buff melee.
The re-balance with physical damage / armor / eva / HP... affect both ranged and melee alike, so melee is still inferior to, or less viable than ranged. Unless there will be passive buffs for specific melee weapons or something? When night falls She cloaks the world In impenetrable darkness Last edited by morbo#1824 on Jun 1, 2013, 5:53:49 AM

" If you can't handle Anarchy then you are probably better off in easy old hardcore! Joking, of course, but I'm looking forward to Anarchy and maybe some other difficult mods added in to future hardcore leagues. Maybe eventually they'll have an Iron League, HC with no stash, no town portals, no trading (all items bound to character that picks them up), and no vendors (Townspeople give/redeem quests and give info/lore only.) Potions would refill very slowly in town and there would be no surgeon's flasks. PoE Origins - Piety's story http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2081910
