Australian Test Gateway Feedback (Updated)

Spent a fair while on the AU server today, and no disconnects or rollbacks except for in the race right after 0.11 launch, which I understand was not restricted to AU.

Since v11, my ping (to Newcastle, adsl1) is pretty consistent at 30 (up from consistent 19-23 pre-patch) and the framerate graph is very jagged - says its going up and down every second, but the graphics look fine...dunno what's up with that. Plays great, even with the reported higher ping and lower/inconsistent framerate, it just feels better than we're used to on other servers.

Racing had (other than the E258 crashes) no problems - a little minor desync, but everything worked fine with entering areas, creating chars etc. Just in time for...err...oh well. Season 3?

Outside of races though, desync has been a lot worse today than even usual for Australia server, which might be a load issue? Died once in what should have been a fairly safe area for the char after being suddenly teleported into middle of a room I'd earlier shot into (while holding shift) but never entered. Several odd things like that which were not the expected desync behavior I've gotten used to.
Is the Australian gateway full or something? I'm playing in the default league, and in town my latency is 50-100, but in certain zones it jumps up to 200+.

Lower submerged passage is ~200ms.
Mud flats is ~70ms - however, last night I believe mud flats was also at ~200ms latency.

I am getting the exact same thing with town and Lunaris in the Anarchy league. Makes for a difficult time when swapping zones changes your ping by around 100

Tried the AU server for a few hours last night.

50 latency was nice. thanks

Had zero lag spike issues.


Clicking to enter a zone delivered a short delay.

Suffered desync 4 to 5 times.With 50 ping however it was much more noticeable when desynch was immenant and could adjust my gameplay to avoid it.

I have been playing on the Australian gateway today.
Nice but I have been experiencing disconnects 4 so far, around 9:30pm on the 8th (CST SA Time).
If there is anything I could do to assist in diagnosing this, feel free to contact me.
I forgot to mention, in case it is relevant, I am on Internode, Adelaide.

Using the Aus gateway and had 3 crashes in the last 20 minutes. Not fun having to do Prison 4 times, and still not done yet. :-(
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.

I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_-

Had this also, along with some big desync issues on the anarchy servers. Now on SG gate, the DC has stopped but the desync is about to send me to bed early for the night =/


Now that the gateway has been officially released, are there any plans to decrease the amount of random disconnects? I love the lower ping, but I'm scared to do any high end maps knowing that the next dc is lurking around the corner. Have lost countless maps and drops to the random dcs, so it is definitely very irritating.
Thanks for the local server GGG, It has made a world of difference.
Still DCing and getting rerolled at least once every 2 hours. Very frustrating losing gear/drops when porting out of finished maps and losing half of what you picked up from a DC.
