Why are the patch notes so late?

Does anyone else dislike the fact the we get patch notes like 2 days before the big update?

That doesnt leave much time for choosing your starting build... I assume all the giga op builds will get nerfed and most people will be confused what to start with. And also if you start with bad build it can get pretty ugly in poe 2 with massive inflation and stuff.

why cant we get notes atleast 1 week before update? :(

Theyre likely not complete yet. We almost always get them in this manner. Just have to be patient.
A late Wednesday or Thursday night drop of the patch notes less than 48 hours ahead of a major update means less time spent picking apart what players dislike about whatever changes are incoming. They already know there will be some backlash to unpopular nerfs this is a way to control it ahead of launch.
I blame RMT for inflation
This is EA and patches should come fast. There is no need to delay patches to suit the people that treat this game like it's full release and running league cycles already.

The problem is that GGG isn't treating this as an EA. It's a full release, Live Service game to them.

Because people got pissed when GGG started patching the things that were too strong, "killing their builds".

People got pissed that their build was bricked and they couldn’t respec without farming gold on a broken character. If they just made respecs free or insanely cheap for EA then it would be acceptable to make changes on the fly.

They tried that during the first month and they got flammed extremely hard for it, which is what made them switch things up to be larger but slower patches in a more leauge style setup.

Just doing whatever they can to stifle discontent and get high viewer/player counts so they can point to metrics. Basically, the less transparency the better they "perform".
