Working on patches and content aimed towards everyone and getting rid of all the third party trash, in this case 11/10 work and a very good priority list ;)
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Instead of giving people ultra widescreen support. They're going to ban people for using it, and people on the forums for trying to help someone understand why people are upset about it.

That's what they did to me. Completely unwarranted 1-week ban, trying to explain the reason why people are upset about it, and why the decision is one that doesn't bring good value. No swearing/antagonism in my posts, just an honest attempt to help someone else understand.

Oh well. Maybe one day they'll realize arbitrarily refusing people use of their thousand dollar monitors is probably a bad idea for a business plan. Guess it's not today though.

I hope all of you with big widescreen monitors can find games that you can enjoy with it, and that want you to enjoy the experience.

Sorry to hear that man. At least the probation's gone now lol.
From my experience, usually...I think it can happen if a specific posts receives multiple reports. I've also been able to contact a Mod myself several months ago, and they were nice enough to help me out for my Thread I made where I had some "troll" activity haha. Maybe you can contact them too..?

Anyway, I feel you're 1 of the few here that actually seems to be contributing some decent stuff so...it does feel odd how you got probation. Lol. :P

It is what it is. I'm just here to help spread awareness about video games and companies that put profits first, at the expense of player enjoyment.

Also, no. The reason stated was "multiple antagonistic posts" 1 week ban. If they don't want people having discussions like that on the forums, all they have to do is say something. "Take it to discord" or something. They don't have to make stuff up to justify it.

there is literally no other game that is relying on "third party trash" as much as path of exile. but i guess as long as its "third party trash" you like and use, its ok.

It was the same to me. Used the word "antagonistic" against me. Yet, would not show me where in any of my posts. Show me where this antagonistic wording is and I can try to understand your point of view. However I got nothing. I also pointed out how another user here has taken my words in my post and turned them to mean something totally different and did re-arrange my words. In my opinion, that, was antagonistic. Yet, still, nothing. So I have thoughts that there may be specific trigger words that they go off of without even looking over conversations, etc... If you say one or few of those words, that's it. But I do not know that for sure of course. Just a guess. I'm only trying to make some sense of things which didn't make sense lol. Or maybe we simply make too much sense that they want to keep us quiet. Again, that's just a thought.

But to be banned? Eh, I'm still not playing the game as it is and probably won't be with the patch coming, until they decide that hey, 32:9 ban is silly.
As I stated now multiple times, plenty other games that I can play that support it easily and nicely. Also, GTA6 coming. Which you know will support 32:9 lol. And GGG wants to keep this ban? I yiyi, what a company. To not grab all the support you can? I just don't understand that.

Time will tell how things go. Sure they had a nice start, but maybe that'll just be it. What a way to destroy something nice if so eh? I know others personally (as in besides this chat) who quit due to 32:9 ban. And a few others who quit because their friends quit due to that. So this quit ban has spread even to those without 32:9. Just saying...
good thing it seems like the new league is shit, so there is no real reason to play and risk a ban anyways. lol

Yeah, I watched alot of videos and chats that many don't exactly like the new patch. Things just seem off, even early in the game. And for some, they think later game can get even worse due to the monsters being fast and all, etc...

It's also notable that as expected when something new as a patch comes out, many players come flocking back to the game. However, it's not even 1/2 of what they've had when the game launched (per steam only). Just under it. Kind of shows how many may have quit for good, and of course us 32:9. Bad decisions hurt. Again, time will tell how things will really end up going. I have no idea if things are really bad. But I DO know things could be better.
I actually really like their vision for PoE 2. I played exclusively Ruthless HC SSF in PoE 1. I appreciate that they are trying to nerf all the broken stuff, and IMO the game was way too easy before 0.2.0.

I think the problem of making the game easier is that you instantly loose anyone who is looking for a greater challenge than the game is offering. If the game is too hard, at least difficulty can be inspiring and feel like an achievement to overcome.

Choosing to support ultrawide would be such an easy and unilaterally positive decision in comparison. I'm sad they don't seem to understand that.
And I completely agree with Legend#8685 that losing ultrawide players has a collateral effect other than simply losing players with deeper pockets. I have personally introduced a number of players to the game and would have continued doing so if not for the lack of support for ultrawide.

But I really do like the vision they have for PoE 2, even if its overshadowed by the lack of ultrawide support.
Worth mentioning that Last Epoch fully supports ultra wide monitors.

No mods required.

GGG will not get another penny from me until they support my hardware.

Same here brother, this is clown world.
Whoah, I may try Last Epoch, heard of it, just didn't get around to it. I'm going to look into that one.

As for how much 32:9 actually hurt this poe2 game? Who knows!? Not everyone is going to come into this thread and voice it out. Not even everyone who quit because of their friends quitting cause they have a 32:9 will you hear about either, or friends of those friends.

When I was actually playing. A chunk of that time was with other friends/players. With some other games it's the same way. If one of us quits, it can normally end up being all of us quitting at some point. Whether great numbers or not. The game just lost support. Some players never come back when they see a game go a wrong direction. So a bad decision, even if corrected, you still lost some players. This is one reason why early access games aren't always so great to do. Not all come back. So decisions should be carefully made. Me, I'm hanging around (not even touching the game yet still). Who knows when and if I will or simply go away completely. I enjoyed the game (when I played it) and now don't after 32:9 ban. All I can really say.
