Warning for Ultra widescreen Mod after I disabled it

Imagine refusing to ascend to the current era of resolutions and instead crying about anyone who has., genuinely sad.

Funny how multiple other "pve" games offer this as a native resolution in 2025. I guess we're just stuck in the early 2012 here.

Maybe anyone running a 5k series graphics card should be banned as well since clearly that will give them an unfair performance advantage.

There is a limit of what you can see for a reason. And everything that lets you see things on the screen, that you are not expected to see breaks TOS.

So if some "fix" falls in this category then it is breaking TOS.

I pretty much still clear enemies without being detected. Just shoot in the direction you're heading before you head that way. I've already done this. It's slower, but done. So whether I hacked (since it's called that) or not. My outcome is the same.

It may depend on what kind of range ammo or what you do as ranged. I have NOT played every character with every ranged skill to test it all. But the skills I have used, all do it. Whether there's enemies there in the direction you're heading or not, shoot there first then go.

So this silliness of cheating whether or not I see the enemies early or not. I can clearly do the same exact thing I've always been doing whether I see them. Just slightly slower. And I mean "slightly". Not very significant at all.

Again, this in turn, makes this ban rule silly and very insignificant to lose players over.

everyone is discussing about the advantages of 32:9, but nobody talks about the disadvantages.

inventory management and trading is way slower and much more annoying. everything is either completely on the left or the right side. you have to drag your mouse over your whole screen all the time.

graphical issues where enemies are bugged or just disappear, sides of the map are not rendering correctly.

and obviously performance. since poe isnt stretched at the edges like other games, your gpu has to render all pixels, so you lose a lot of fps. (which would be a big disadvantage to anyone playing 21:9 or 16:9)

nobody was crying around, we know that 32:9 is not perfectly implemented in all games. we accept that. but no other game started banning their players because of it.

since ggg doesnt really care about that topic, im going to use the mod and risk a ban. its either getting banned or abandoning the game and the outcome will be the same, so it doesnt matter.

I just plain don't see how wanting to game in your monitors actual actual aspect ratio in a PVE game is akin to that of performing a sin against mankind.

Don't worry guys. I think it's pretty clear where their priorities lie.

Instead of giving people ultra widescreen support. They're going to ban people for using it, and people on the forums for trying to help someone understand why people are upset about it.

That's what they did to me. Completely unwarranted 1-week ban, trying to explain the reason why people are upset about it, and why the decision is one that doesn't bring good value. No swearing/antagonism in my posts, just an honest attempt to help someone else understand.

Oh well. Maybe one day they'll realize arbitrarily refusing people use of their thousand dollar monitors is probably a bad idea for a business plan. Guess it's not today though.

I hope all of you with big widescreen monitors can find games that you can enjoy with it, and that want you to enjoy the experience.

From my experience, usually...I think it can happen if a specific posts receives multiple reports. I've also been able to contact a Mod myself several months ago, and they were nice enough to help me out for my Thread I made where I had some "troll" activity haha. Maybe you can contact them too..?

Anyway, I feel you're 1 of the few here that actually seems to be contributing some decent stuff so...it does feel odd how you got probation. Lol. :P
