GGG, you need to fix Alva npc flipping NOW!
This guy is just twisting words to act like he "debunked" something, when in reality, he's missing the core issue.
You’re trying really hard to make this a black-and-white argument, but it’s not. Nobody said Alva creates Exalts from nothing. The issue is that Alva enables a risk-free loop where players can extract Exalts at a much faster rate than normal gameplay allows. Yes, those Exalts already exist but before, getting them required actual effort: farming, trading, crafting, etc. Now, players are bypassing all of that and making thousands just by clicking a few buttons. That accelerates the economy in a completely unnatural way, which is why Divine prices are out of control. Your bank analogy is flawed because real-world banks don’t let you double your money in minutes. And if they did, guess what? It’d be called an exploit. |

" I'm kind of astonished at how, even after so many replies, with every new post you're capable of making yourself look more and more ignorant about not only basic macroeconomics, but also about this game... Where do you think currency in Alva's Currency Exchange comes from? Literally every single currency there was dropped somewhere through "actual effort": monsters killed, bought in Rituals, etc. Not a single piece of currency was magically made through Alva, nor through trading, nor through crafting. On the contrary: crafting removes currency from the market " Huh.... strange.... when I turned 18 my dad created a bank account for me, and then my money more than doubled when he transferred $200 to it... Guess we were exploiting the system... TINFOIL HATS ON BOIS AND GRILS!!! WIRE TRANSFERS ARE AN EXPLOIT OF THE SYSTEM!!11! Last edited by _rt_#4636 on Feb 27, 2025, 6:13:18 PM

" Yes dude... it's faster because it's just a TRADE and not "killing monsters until something drops"... crazy. Remove Alva and ppl still trade. " Trading is now effort? What is it, darling? Anyway. Being able to trade at the currency exchange requires gold, so you cannot trade indefinitely without playing the game, AND, more importantly, if you want to flip on the market with success, you need a good insight about PoE's economy or you don't end up with stonks. " Again, Divine prices are not that high because ppl trade via Alva... that's just pure nonsense. It's only a "supply and demand" thing that has a "sink" problem atm. Exalts become nearly useless after a few weeks while divines have at least one way to sink them in endgame. So over time, the div value goes up while the exalt value goes down, and that results in such a ratio while the supply of exalts explodes - that simple. |

Is this whole thread cause of a misunderstanding of Buy and Sell orders?
Person A, "I want to sell 1000 regals for 1ex" Person B, "I want to buy 45 regals for 1ex" Person A, "Too bad, it's all or nothing because I can't divide 1ex into smaller amounts. Here's your 45 regals with 955 extras" That's what the exchange is doing. Someone out there has way too many regal orbs and is offloading them far cheaper than you offered. If you're making an in-game profit out of it, congratulations, you're a poe day-trader. Maybe check of the Forex if you want to get profesisonal about it outside of games. |

I'll say it one more time for those who haven't read the entire thread: By simply staying at Alva and investing 100 Exalts + gold to buy Regal Orbs, you can get 100,000 Regals (depends on the ratio, it varies from 200:1 up to 1500:1). Then, by selling those 100,000 Regals back, you end up with 3,000 Exalts, a 2,900 Exalt profit. (this is not a rare case.. you can do this daily, non stop, its happening since game started)
There’s no way this should be possible, and it’s highly unlikely that Alva was ever intended to function like this. again, look at this pic where I paid 1 exalt for 850 regals and then sell 850 for for 20 exalts few hrs ago. But as I said this can be done all the time, to gain ridiculous ammount of exalts flipping at Alva not only regals, another example, you can go right now and buy a Greater Essence of Haste for 766 exalts, then sell it back for 919 exalts. boom 153 exalts you've made in less than 5 mins. https://ibb.co/gZgq2Jt2 Last edited by loopax55#5378 on Feb 27, 2025, 6:44:40 PM

" Holy... what has Alva to do with any of that?! It's just basic trading, no matter Alva's existence. Besides, cool that you found something that can be flipped RIGHT NOW, but that does not say much related to the entire economy. You just did basic math while ignoring any other factor. Based on the ratio atm you could buy 1,000 regals for one exalt, BUT you can only do this as long as regals for this ratio are available. And vice versa, you can only sell your regals "back" for the more profitable ratio as long as someone is offering it for that ratio. If the supply of "good ratio" dries out too early, you just sit on a ton of stuff with low value. This could completely ruin your entire currency gain. |

thats the problem, you can always find big differences in ratio on buying vs selling to let you make huge profit, but please stop pretending you don't know ;)

" Wdym? Nobody was pretending anything. And what is the problem with ppl being able to make profits from trading? If you know what you are doing, you can make profits with basically everything in the game. Hell, you could buy specific items - throw an exalt at it and/or a chaos and turn a 20ex item into a 60div item. It seems like you are just mad about ppl being able to trade and do profits because that's nothing you enjoy. |

" It seems we're making progress... Now you seem to be starting to understand that the problem is not Alva's Currency Exchange, it's something else... something related to always being able to find big differences in ratio on buying vs. selling.... | |
blabla bla again... I am talking about this issue hoping that they do something to not be like this in the new league. This league is way to fked up so it doesn't matter too much anyway.
I am not mad im just disgusted how is this allowed to happen. |
